Hello everybody, I'm Wizardofozone from Zelienople Pa. Have been smoking with an electric cigarette maker for the last 2 years and tired of the pipe tobacco hack ... there must be two specific parts of a tobacco leaf for cigarette versus pipe tobacco and I feel I've been smoking a third part ... the roots !

Went online to MadVapes yesterday and got a super crash course with a nice video on the Magestic ARO kit. Bought the kit in stainless, learned from the video about turning to lower voltage with 1.8 coils and purchased 5 of them. Kit has two 2.5's as well. Caught a horrible virus 10 years ago in California which took away 100% of my ability to smell .... and that as you might know also cancels all aromatic taste . Only the tastebuds for sweet, salty, sour, and bitter remain. (condition is called Anosmia )

Luckily it never affected my need for a good throat hit but I'll not be needing any super flavored e-liquids ! I added a 50ml Hangson straight tobacco flavor with 36mgs Nicotene because I'm about a pack and a halfer daily.

I'd appreciate any added info about this particular unit which I guess would be in the 'midsize' category ? It does have the ability to change I believe to a Pyrex tank, and various coil ohm resistence .... I wanted a Pyrex tank but still too confused as to which of the Pyrex fits and if this is considered a 501 or an ego, and I'm fuzzy about coil cleaning ... I don't mean how to do it .. I just don't know if it applys to the ARO coils ...... (I reek of newbie !) ... for future accessory needs,am I to assume that if anything has the ARO designation it will fit the Magestic ? Thanks so much for reading this ! I'm expecting arrival of this kit by wednesday I presume.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Your battery has both ego and 510 threading (industry standard) so you will have no problems finding tanks for it. Aspire mini-Nautilus and KangerTech Aerotanks are two very popular tanks that are glass and have airflow control.

It's a standard threaded (510 and ego) kit so compatibility wont be an issue. As far as cleaning, I rinse my tanks and coils under hot tap water witch works well for me. Most folks don't vape the same way they smoked(for me I would smoke a cigarette maybe once an hour but I'll vape every 10-15 mins). I mention this because you may find your getting too much nic and my want a lower nic juice.

36mg is on the high end these days. The last study I read guessed that one full flavor cigarette had about 0.1mg nic, it's not set in stone though they don't really know how much your body soaks up. FYI I've seen 100mg nic for sale geared towards folks who make there own juice but 24-36 is the highest premixed I've seen.

Our gear is far more efficient (delivering nic) than cigarettes or even gear from a couple years ago.

I've used a vodka bath on coils I used in strong smelling flavors, I didn't notice much difference in taste from just hot water.

Welcome Wizard!

Sorry to hear of your anosmia. Can't even imagine....

As others have commented, with the threading choices (eGo - Mini ProTank 2/3, EVOD, ARO and 510 - full-sized ProTank 2/3, Nautilus, etc.) you should have lots of versatility with your toppers. The pyrex offers protection from "tank-cracker" juices like hot cinnamons, citruses, etc. I have finally migrated from a series of EVOD tanks to glass-based.

Regarding your requested nic level - 36 is about the highest I've seen for sale as pre-mixed. Your body will tell you if that's too much. If you overdo, you'll probably get dizzy and/or nauseous. Simply set your vape down for a bit and drink some extra water (you'll want that anyway to help with some of the dehydrating effects of vaping.)

Higher PG (Propylene Glycol) juices will also help with the throat hit, as PG is the "carrier" whereas VG (Vegetable Glycerin) is more of the vapor producer. VG is a much thicker liquid, and can be a bit "tacky", especially compared to PG. When I first got started, I would soak my coils overnight in some unflavored vodka (I have plenty of "cheap" stuff around :D )

I eventually learned to dryburn and rebuild my coils, so it's not that often that I even "clean" my coils anymore. After a while, though, there will be enough "gunk" built-up on the actual coil that you'll either need to replace or learn to dryburn. I don't have a reference handy, but if you google dryburn kanger coil, you'll find some great info. The ARO tanks use similar, but not identical, coils, so the process would be the same. (I have a few SMOK ARO tanks, and I did find that even though the kanger coils look the same, there's a flange on the kanger coils that's a bit larger, so they won't fit the inner diameter of my ARO tanks.)

Glad you're here. Don't hesitate with your questions. Lots of folks willing to help :)

I was a pack a day smoker and it took 4ml a day of 24mg juice to keep me vaping (I'm down to 12mg now). At .1 nic a cig I was way over so do what works best to keep you off smoking, you can always reduce later on. I brought it up because if I get too much nic I'll get headaches, some folks get nausea.

You can get plain VG to cut it with but it will dilute the flavor as well. I like to keep some high nic juice on hand for days when I'm too busy to be able to get many puffs in.
