TL;DR. But I think the gist of it is "vaping is good, smokers should start with good low nic juice and a sub-ohm setup"?
I agree with this, but many members here prefer tootle puffing and is how they quit smoking. I think each person really just needs to find something that works for them.

That being said, since you are into this vaping thing now and like lung-hitting the good juices, you should try some RDAs. And maybe a mech mod too.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I will certainly give your advice some high consideration :thumbs:

The only thing I'd add to this is a Zample Box subscription. We are new (6 months) to vaping as well and without ZB id never have found IF's Awakening or CL's Vader.

I don't use the same equipment but it's such a personal decision. I do COMPLETELY agree however .. Get some help and buy a decent rig/consumables out of the box. Your pocketbook will thank you.
howdy! and welcome!

I'd be inclined to agree with his recommendation of the subox kit as a first. That's a $65 setup, not much more than a couple ego/ce4's, and of much better quality as far as build and vaping goes. Not necessity the best, of course but a newbie doesn't need to start with top of the line, and you can tootle puff that kit-kinda. I really dislike the ego. Too finicky, and I went through 2-3 batteries a day. I think I would have had an easier time of I got my subox 3 years ago
of course, opinions are like ***holes, though
I certainly appreciate the fine advise and feedback. I will give these words some high consideration :unsure:

Sorry to tell you that this battery is not good for the mod you are using. Efest is know for their exaggerated amp ratings. This battery is known to only have a CDR of between 6A-10A. The Subox Mini really needs a 20A CDR battery (like the Samsung 25r).

Here's a blog post by @Baditude (one of ECF's battery experts).

Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

Some more blogs by @Mooch (ECF's other battery expert).

* No matter what is printed on the battery wrapper: There are no 18650 batteries with a genuine rating over 30A!

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics
I surely appreciate this information. The batteries I listed in this thread are working just fine but could very well give me problems on down the road. I double checked all specs, but of course, if Efest is not telling the truth, well I have problems indeed. And no, I did not purchase these batteries at Amazon or Ebay. They were purchased at MistHub. I am totally prepared to replace these batteries if I see the need. So far they have worked out quite well for me and I am not seeing the suspect problems I have been informed of. None the less, I am very glad that this issue was pointed out to me. I must be THANKING YOU for your fine efforts on my behalf...!! :danger:

Yeah... Most of my life in electronics :eek:.... Shame on me is an understatement....... My Brother probably thinks I am intentionally trying to blow him up :w00t: ......... In all my days in electronics I never had to deal with false specs/ratings........ When you selected an electronics component for a task then you could pretty well be rest assured that it's rating fell within it's stated tolerances. Not so with some of the makers of these batteries and something I am not used to dealing with :grr: .... At any rate, I will get him some good ones. I am just glad it was noticed because I may have not even paid much attention.
This will not be necessary but I surely thank you anyways :thumbs:

He probably won't feel that way if I keep pointing him towards something that may blow him up :w00t: ...... We all make mistakes I suppose... What makes me irritated is I know better concerning these miserable battery manufacturers but yet I was in too big of a hurry to get stuff ordered for him..... No matter, we will get it fixed

Thanks for the kind words..... I just wanted to see him get off the commie sticks, which he has done. If someone would have told me two months ago that he would be quitting smoking I wouldn't have thought it possible. So, it was my honor to introduce vaping to him.
I know I am quite late with this REPLY. I am getting just a tad burned out on this battery thing. What I mean, is trying to catch all these replies to thank folks and so forth :sleep:

Well if I have missed anybody here concerning this battery issue, I am certainly sorry. What I mean is replying back to you. Nothing personal. I can honestly state that I learned a lot today. I am in total understanding about what folks here are telling me, but I am really and truly not seeing any problems with these Efest batteries that everybody seems to dislike or are calculating that are wrong for this KangerTech Subox Mini. BUT if one of these blows up in my face, I cannot claim that I was not warned :evil: Not being rude here, but this is sort of a mute subject for me at this point in time. What I mean, is I gleaned a LOT of information here about this battery thing, so now it is time for me to move on to other issues. For those folks that took much effort to communicate with me, I am surely indebted...!! I admitted right off the bat here that I was a NEWBIE, so you will have to forgive my status. Quite frankly, I am betting that nobody on the face of this planet was born with a vaporizer in their mouths, but then again, I could be totally wrong about that. This is a WEIRD world that we live in as far as this old man is concerned > :banana:
