I am brand new to vaping. My co-worker insisted that it has helped him get off chew and I really should pursue this to get off the cigs. Well, this is day 2 (only smoked 2 cigs yesterday - big improvement!). I've purchased all kinds of stuff sold to me by my local vape store.

  1. Vision Spinner II
  2. Kanger AeroTank (dual coil)
  3. Awesome e-juice - berry flavored stuff

I'm just still super unsure of myself and found this forum while searching for answers to my questions. I have found this forum very helpful but there is a lot to read through.

Mostly, I don't know how to clean this thing and how often. I can't figure out how often I'm supposed to replace the coils. I'm also wondering how you carry something this big around to satisfy cravings during the day. I really didn't consider that when I purchased it (what was I thinking). I know - charge every 2-3 days and less hassle. That's what I heard.

I welcome any tips that any of you have and I will continue to search the forums for more information.

Thanks for the great site and all of the help you provide!

Welcome Iris! (Waving back)

You have a grand setup. One of my first devices was the original Spinner 1300 - I still use it regularly.

With regard to cleaning, the battery - just wipe it off if you spill any juice on it. If you get any juice in the contact area where you screw in the tank, take a q-tip and dab it out. DON'T push, just swipe. If it's crusty, use a little isopropyl alcohol on the q-tip.

I don't have an AreoTank, but hopefully your B&M (brick & mortar/local vape store) recommended spare coils as well. Before I started rebuilding, I'd use a coil for a day or two and then drop it into a bit of vodka for a few hours or overnight. That would at least leech out leftover flavor in the wick (which on stock coils is silica) Google "dry burn AeroTank coil" You should be able to burn the built-up gunk (which happens as part of the vaporization process) to prolong the life of the coil.

Charge your battery when the light starts flashing. You might want to consider a 2nd battery to use while the other is charging - depends on how much you're using it.

Keep asking questions - this is a great source of information!

Enjoy the :vapor:

I like all kinds of juices. I smoked menthol cigarettes, but I don't care for tobacco flavors. Digging fruits, desserts, coffees..... sky's the limit!
