Is this what one needs to do after purchasing their juice? Let it steep?

Some juices are great when you first get them, but others have to steep for anywhere from a week to a month after they are mixed. Some online vendors mix your order when you order it. Also most B & M stores that mix their own juices will sell them as soon as they mix them.
Some time you buy a juice a juice that has been mixed for a few weeks, so it is good to go.
I find all juices will be better after steeping.

Yakone, 1st-off welcome to the vaping-club. I've been analog-free for 6+ months now, and still super excited. (1PAD for 27 years).

As far as steeping goes, it depends on the juice, and your own particular set of taste and taste-buds. You can expect that your tastebuds may change significantly now that you have slowed your cigarette consumption down.

Bottom line is, if you like the juice right out of the bottle, then vape on! My experience has been that fruity and minty (and fruity + minty) juices seem not to need any steep time. Some of the more complex, tabacco-derived flavors CAN change significantly (sometimes for the better) if they are allowed to sit exposed to air for a time in a cool cupboard. Right now I'm vaping Boba's Bounty (a juice that definitely improves with steeping IMHO) in a DCT carto tank on an ITaste MVP, and switching to PG Hype in a Unitank on top of my provari.

Be careful about reading this forum until all hours and chain vaping, it has caused me to order serious loads of equipment. I've probably spent as much as I've saved (easily) but I don't cough every morning, I have more stamina, and I don't stink like a stale .....

Good luck to you! Remember, whatever you're doing that keeps you off of analog cigs is the right thing, no matter what.

Congrats Yakone, I was a smoker for 27 years, was resigned to the fact that they would end up killing me. Now I've been vaping for about 8 months and loving it. You found the right place for everything vape. I started out similar to you and now have a quality regulated device, a couple mechanicals, several rba's and mixing my own juice. The more one learns the more I gotta get that. lmao

Know exactly how you are feelings, it's such a revelation that vaping can easily break the smoking monkeys back. No wonder big tobacco is lobbing so hard against the vape industry.

Enjoy 2014 as the year of being smoke free!! If you find you need more satisfaction from your vape, the first place to look is at the atomizer. A good atomizer makes all the difference in the world of vape.

Thank you Buddywally. Yes, absolutely, this is my goal. Steer clear of analogs.
They have been slowly killing me for years. (Perhaps quickly) Damn Illuminati! I'm ok now...I know where I`m going.:)
The thing I noticed about the e-juice I purchased, is that it is an amber color like apple cider. It tastes OK, but after some time in my device, it darkens and tastes absolutely delicious. However, then I need to top it off. It is then diluted again. Then it tastes...just ok...until it gets back to that dark rich color. If that makes any sense.

looks like you're starting better off than I did.. I ended up buying the cigarette sized batteries and found those to be too small, so that was wasted money. I think you're doing things almost perfectly. Ego style, IMHO, is a good beginning step after the first initial "introduction" . I remember the 4 analogs/day time... You're still addicted to something in those cigs, but if you're like me, that 4 analog/day habbit will go down soon to pure vaping. EGO sized battery is a great step, The only downside to an EGO battery, is the recharge time, so I always recommend two batteries, one to vape while the other charges.

You think you're Stoked now... wait until the wheesing stops, your smell/taste comes back, and you walk by someone smoking and actually think..... "I used to do that?!?!?!?!?"

sold my car 2 weeks ago.. it still had my last 1/2 pack of cigarettes I had in there for "emergencies" It was sold with the car. I hope they don't try smoking those, they're over a year old. :)

Oh, and what am I vaping now? Guava/strawberry blend, down to 6mg.

welcome home my friend. I dont think you can bear stinkies until new year with this enthusiasm. Never count the ones you smoked. Count them you did not. It is enough help to resume your enthusiastic vapings. And never feel quilty for smoking one or two. You had been smoking them after all. But some day you will vape a whole day and than will want to try the stinky and you will find out it is not your lovely coffin nail anymore Happy vapings

Congrats on quitting OP, and welcome to the ECF! Just an FYI, for your next device, if you want to try VV you may as well try variable watts VW, as well! 101vapes has the iTaste VVv3 on sale for $25. It's an express kit that comes with a VV/VW, 800 mAh battery and a USB cable. It'll also act as a passthrough (vape it while charging it) and read the ohms on a coil. I love mine! For longer battery life, get the MVP 2 for $40 at the same site. Happy vaping!

Hello nmacken. Thanks so much. I think your absolutely right. I can't bear them already. I woke up and vaped this morning. Then went into my usual routine. Made my morning coffee and then trudged outside for my morning smoke. That is usually my favorite one. That smoke tasted terrible. It made me choke and I actually stubbed it out, went back in the house and picked up my Vaper. Ah! delicious! :)
