I fell for the mall kiosk thing a week or so ago, mainly because once I decided I wanted to do this I had no patience to wait for something in the mail. Money down the drain obviously (at least I didn't buy any refill carts...just used the two it came with), but it answered my basic questions, and got me excited to keep trying so I ordered the KR808D-1 and it should be here in a day or two.

I did a lot of reading and research on here before I decided between the 510 and the KR8, so much so that my brain hurt by the time i was done. I want to keep it simple and start off simple. I ordered several different juice 3ml samples to try before I invest more and would love some advice on how to fill the carts with the juice. I have watched some of the videos and read as much as I can find, but if someone had a minute to talk me through my specific type, it would help.

I ordered the KR808D-1 from FreedomSmokeUSA and it comes with 6 standard cartomizers. I am assuming the cartomizer has the filler in it and I will simply drip the juice in?? I am sure I will learn from several mistakes, but I could use a nod that I am on the right track and any suggestions or tricks that would be helpful.

Thanks!

Check out Mistress Nomad's videos for Noobies - they are truly a gift. It is confusing at first but you'll be an old pro in no time and you're already heading in the right directions. Check out the video for the condom method of refilling the cartomizers
In no time you'll be buying mods and dripping! Great way to start the New Year! Congratulations!

Hi and welcome to ECF and the world of vaping!

If you've watched videos on refilling cartos (cartomizers) then you are good to go. Doesn't really matter what model it is, they are all pretty much the same.

I refill mine by just dripping the juice down from the top, along the sides. I use a paper clip that I unbent one end of to pull the white "plug" out of the top end (the end that goes into my mouth). Then I take my juice and drip ONE drip down the inside of the cart, turn it a little, drip again down the inside, turn it again and drip, etc. I just keep dripping in one drip at a time and turning the carto until the filler down inside looks wet. Then put the "plug" back in and start vaping. I *never* drip into the center of the carto (where the coils are) and generally don't drip directly onto the filler.

Another method I have used is to just take one of the condoms that came off the carto, fill it about halfway with juice, then slowly press the *threaded* end of the carto into the condom, letting the juice go up the hole in the bottom of the carto. This works, but I've found it kind of wastes juice because sometimes the juice invariably ends up going up the *outside* of the carto too, and there's always a little left in the condom (which I end up dripping into the top along the sides).

Others use a syringe to refill their cartos. I've never tried this method but I know there are plenty of videos out there showing how this method is done.

Once you get all your juice and start looking at everything, it will all quickly make more sense to you. Experiment with different methods and you'll find the one that works best for you. They all look and sound more difficult than they really are.

Thanks, her videos are actually what helped me choose the kr808, but I did not see one about filling...I will check it out. I did go with manuals because I read so much about the auto difficulties and filling. I figured it would be no biggie to push a button each time I wanted to drag on it.

By the way, thanks to everyone for so much great info...I have been reading these forums for three days and finally jumped in today. Can't wait to get my new device and get off the smelly analogs.

Thanks all!

I, too, started with the KR808D-1 a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. I just bought a USB passthrough as well, which eliminates the need to ride the batteries themselves quite so hard. Once you get your kit and try it out, watch her videos again. You'll notice that things stick out to you and make more sense when you have even the tiniest bit of experience under your belt, instead of trying to wrap your head around something you've only seen in videos/pictures.
