Welcome aboard.

I do think there is a lot of confusion with new folks and filling a carto..... seems a lot of people (including myself when I was at that point) had the gonna fill em up jitters.

Everyone has a slightly different spin on how to fill them up.

Easy way to sit it down with the screw side down. Drip a few drop, let it soak in. Drip a few more drops, let it soak in. You want to aim the drops at the cottony stuff not the center hole..... keep on dripping and waiting till the cottony stuff looks moist/wet (but not swampy). Pick up the carto, put a paper towel over an end and give a small light blow. Don't go hog wild like you're blowing up a balloon, more like you would do if you are blowing dust off of something you dropped on a floor.

Hope that helps a bit.

Use the "condom method". You may want to explain that a little bit to a brand new person. I can only imagine what they think when they see something like that!

The "condom" method to filling a carto:

A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin. - YouTube

I don't use cartomizers a lot, but after filling and before use, I will put a paper towel or tissue under one end and on the other will give a gently blow with my mouth (not a blow dryer) to clear the little tube inside of access liquid. Put it on my battery and Vape it.

Wow, I never thought I'd get so many replies. You guys are awsome and thank you for welcoming me to the community!

I wish I could reply to each of you, baha but that'd take a min. I read a couple things on here that I seem to be doing wrong.

I'm going to try to save the some of the ones I have, is there a way to clean them out if there is to much in them?

And as for the blow dryer, the kiosk guy told me too do it everytime :glare:.. hopefully thats not why they were messing up, I did find it odd.. but decided to try it anyway.

Also the kr808d-2 is the one you cant take the filler out bc of the wire, the way its made. Would it be better to get a converter to the kr808d-1. The kr808d-1 seems to have an easier filler, you can even take it out it looks.

And will the e-juice I have matter? the mix that is.
I dunno still a little lost, I'm going to go try some of your options, I'll check back soon.

Again thank you all a ton.

***edit***

I tried hitting the ones i was messing with last night. I get more vapor than before but i get a sizzling noise after I stop hitting it?

Does that mean it's too moist?

If you take into account what something like this costs: E-Power From Smok Tech and HECS

You did pay quite a bit.

Vaping really isn't about saving $'s - it's about getting off the smokes. However, once you get your vaping device (PV) worked out, you will save $'s.

Good Luck!

That makes me really sad... lol

If it is a KR808 you should be able to purchase more empty cartomizer for the pv and fill them yourself or purchase prefilled cartomizers from vapor 4 life, LiteCigUSA.

Pretty expensive for a KR808, but I don't know if you got taken. I see people on here that should know better buy some pretty questionable crap for more than what you spent.
All that's true. I don't think you out that bad. my very first Ecig was from a company called enjoy and I hated it so much that it was 6 month before i tried again.:(

Hmmm... I'm always reading about all these complicated methods for filling cartos. I use a variety of mini-cig styles, and I've never had a problem refilling- Take the carto off the battery, pry off the end with my handy swiss army corkscrew, and drip liquid around the edge, avoiding the center, drop by drop, stopping to let it soak in- the whole process takes about 30 seconds- no need to let it sit, just have a tissue handy to absorb any misplaced drops. Blow out the cart if necessary before screwing it back on the battery, and vape away- never had any problems with this method. I usually just reuse prefilled carts, but as I vape tobacco flavored liquid, this doesn't seem to effect them. I can refill multiple times (never counted) I chuck it when the taste and vapor starts to get get funky- though usually I lose the end piece, and start with a new carto.
Good luck! And I wouldn't worry too much about the price- they always seem to be more expensive when bought from a brick and mortar vendor, but at least you're helping a local business person... Its still cheaper than cigarettes...

So my new years resolution was to stop smoking so I got a e cig. I ran into the kiosk at the mall, and they got me to buy the smoke51 kr808d-2 starter kit for $110.00. All was good because I was told I could refill the cartomizers. The carts i got ran dry tonight so i decided to put some drop I ordered from vaporgod, which was menthol VG 30%. I put it around 10 drops into the cotton part and let it dry with a blow dryer. I take a hit and get barely any smoke. Ive tried this with 8 crats and all of them either taste really bad, give no vapor, or do nothing at all. What am doing wrong? I've been reading the kr808d-2 is a rip off and to get a converter to another cartomizer type but which type is best to refill and guarantee this wont happen? 501? 808d-1? I'm really confused and I feel as if i've wasted more money than I would have if I didnt quit smoking.

thank you for any help.

Gooooodnight.

Dude  ... who the Hell told you to blow dry your carts after filling them??? And you did this to 8 of them???

So you basically spent a lot of money to go home and DESTROY your cartos??? Cartos are not be dried or blow dried after filling ... that's insane!!! Your carts are supposed to be MOIST to function properly .... Ah vey

So not only were you ripped off by spending $110 on a KR8 starter kit, whoever told you to blow dry your cartos clearly had a plan to get you on the come back!! ... Come back and spend more money

Sorry you were sooooo mislead :(

I too purchased an over priced piece of crap for my first pv. Well, the kr808 doesn't seem to be a crap pv, so you have potential there. A lot of people really like theirs, so once you get past the learning curve you should be just fine. :)
Don't feel bad about spending too much on your first Ecig. It happens to more of us than you would think.
