I too purchased an over priced piece of crap for my first pv. Well, the kr808 doesn't seem to be a crap pv, so you have potential there. A lot of people really like theirs, so once you get past the learning curve you should be just fine. :)
Don't feel bad about spending too much on your first ecig. It happens to more of us than you would think.

I feel much better knowing a bunch of ppl got ripped off tooo.. not.. :p

I think some of us view those kiosk's as rip offs because we know there are much better devices out there. I would have had no idea if I hadn't come to this forum. I know people who use their "rip off" kit and swear by it. For me personally, it wouldn't do it for me.
Whether its a disposable from the gas station or a provari... As long as it keeps you off cigarettes it's worth it.

I agree, a lot of my friends (still smokers) consider vaping still smoking. They say because you're not breaking the habit of smoking. I say yess I am. haha.

Dude  ... who the Hell told you to blow dry your carts after filling them??? And you did this to 8 of them???

So you basically spent a lot of money to go home and DESTROY your cartos??? Cartos are not be dried or blow dried after filling ... that's insane!!! Your carts are supposed to be MOIST to function properly .... Ah vey

So not only were you ripped off by spending $110 on a KR8 starter kit, whoever told you to blow dry your cartos clearly had a plan to get you on the come back!! ... Come back and spend more money

Sorry you were sooooo mislead :(

Holy overreaction Batman.

They used a blow dryer on a carto. You stick a carto on a hot battery to heat it up. I seriously doubt if they were ruined.
Even so, way to go to make someone feel like an idiot.

My smoker friends say that to me as well. Yes, I still take breaks outside while at work. But I've broken a LOT of my smokers habits. I no longer wake up three hours early so I can get in enough cigarettes before I go to work. I don't even reach for my pv first thing in the morning. I'll get up, shower, start coffee then grab my pv and vape while I have my coffee. Before, I would instantly grab my smokes and head outside. Come back in, start the coffee maker, smoke again. Pour a cup of coffee, head back outside, smoke again and get in the shower. Go outside with wet hair, smoke again. Blow dry hair, smoke again... You get the picture. I have also dropped from 36mg nicotine to 11/12mg.
Last night after we finished dinner i immediatly started cleaning up and had the kitchen back to normal before i even touched my pv. I have been doing this for quite a while, but hadn't noticed til last night. When i smoked and when i first started vaping i would smoke/vape directly after meals without fail.
To me, that's breaking a lot of my smoking habits.

So no ones answered my question, should I get a d-1 converter to fit my d-2. I heard they are easier..
The Better Way To Smoke - Adaptor, KR808D-2 Battery to KR808-1 Cartomizer
Are you certain that the cartomizers you bought don't fit your eCig?

OK, I just re-read your initial post, and Now what I'm understanding is that you are refilling the ones that came with the kit. They should fit, so you shouldn't need an adapter unless you are thinking of switching to for ease of use with the K808D-1.

Anyone out there that can explain the difference between the K808D-1 and the K808D-2 cartos?

jgoldd,
I found a link that may help you a bit. It's about the differences in the model batteries, but the battery is important because it restricts or enhances the options you can choose for a cartomizer.

My opinion? You should be fine with your K808D-2 kit, as there are plenty of cartomizers to fit it. But if you want to try other ones, then you can indeed get the adapter.
It's personal preference.

I went ahead and ordered the 808d-1 adapter, I found carts that are cheaper(not by much) but i just think I like the design of the d1's better.

thanks for the link!
