Battery Questions:
1. I have a PT and it only works half the time. This is the second PT I have had this issue with (the first was returned). It seems like the connection is loose or something. When it is sitting on the table I can hear it going but often when I pick it up to take a drag nothing happens.
2. I have both auto and manual batteries as well as one of the long ones that is supposed to go longer without a charge. I am finding that after about an hour of vaping the bats are needing to be recharged. Is it possible that I have over charged them by leaving them on the charger overnight?

Juice Questions
1. I feel like I am having to refill my cartos VERY frequently. In one 1 hour period (yes I am chain vaping) I have to refill it once or twice. Is this normal?
2. I often get a sore throat and I think it's from vaping. I switched to VG thinking maybe it was the PG causing the problem. The VG seems better but the problem has not completely gone away. Suggestions?

Carto Question
The cartos are always getting really hot. To the point that they burn my lips. This happens on both the cool carts and the WOW ones. I got a drip tip which helps but even that heats up. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for your help and insight!!!

When you pick it up, does the carto feel hot to the touch? If the carto isn't hot, then the PT is not activating while you aren't using it. I would suggest then trying the atty on another battery to see if it's working. If it is, then you might need to lift the center pin just a touch with a paper clip and try it on the PT again.

It's highly unlikely that your batteries are overcharged by leaving them on the charger overnight. Most chargers have an automatic cut-off that stops charging once the battery is full. I think what you're experiencing is typical battery life from "analog" look-alike batteries. They don't have a long life in between charges to start with and if you chain vape, it's going to be even less.

If you're chain vaping and using regular sized cartos, then this could be very normal.

2. I often get a sore throat and I think it's from vaping. I switched to VG thinking maybe it was the PG causing the problem. The VG seems better but the problem has not completely gone away. Suggestions?

Increase the amount of water that you're drinking. Both PG and VG are dehydrating, so it's important to drink plenty of water.

If you're chain vaping then the cartos and your drip tip (if it's aluminum) are going to get hot. This is also going to decrease the life span of your cartos. Try letting them cool between hits. I'll just let you know that I'm also a hopeless chain vaper and I've learned to live with the consequences.

Thanks in advance for your help and insight!!!

When I started it was with a cigarette sized e-cig. It proved to be underpowered and lacking enough juice for serious chain-vaping. Even the Volt which is a nice cigarette sized unit doesn't charge fast enough for chain-vaping. Now I use a Go-Go and the battery and carto last longer than it takes to recharge the other battery. In fact one battery and carto lasts all day. it doesn't even get hot and I'm a fiend at chain-vaping.

I am in no way an expert, but I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.

question 1: It sounds like a bad connection to me, but I could be wrong.

question 2: Without knowing what kind of e-cig you are using, this one is hard to answer. I started with a automatic 510 and had the same issue if I chain vaped it. Most of the cigarette look-a-like's are a 250mha battery and will not last very long when chain vaped. I would usually get around 1 1/2 to 2 hours on a fully charged battery. That is the
reason I went to an ego battery. They are a 600mah battery and would last me about 6 to 8 hours of heavy use.

Juice question 1
& Carto question: I found that when using cartomizers, that I also had the same problems that you are having. Chain vaping does not allow the carto tube a chance to cool off and they will get hot! A drip tip will help, or you could try
taking 2 or 3 drags and then give it a few minutes to cool off and see if that helps.

As far as the sore throat, I have never experienced that, so I have no idea. I hope this helps.

With regard to the cartos, it sounds like your chain-vaping is beating them to death.

I also chain-vape. I've also discovered the delights of switching around between different flavors. So, I usually have four different setups going, all echo-e cartomizers on 900 or 1100 mAh fat batteries. Today's selection is 3&5, Key Lime freeze, cherry cola and menthol. Tomorrow's could be different. I'll take a few tokes from one, put it down, take a few tokes from the next, put it down, etc. By the time I've toked from the fourth in line, the carto in the first setup has cooled down to room temperature. I top off my cartos about once per day and usually have one battery on a charger at any given time.

Hi and welcome. A lot of good info ^^.

I had some of the same issues as you do. The sore throat goes away. There is a technique to vaping, you drawn into your mouth, then inhale. You cant directly inhale or you get the sore throat. Once I learned this, the sore throat went away.

Chain vaping kills e-cig "look alike" type batteries. Fat batteries and mods are the solution.

The heat you vape at will cause your juice to be used much faster. I get about 20 minutes before I have to re-fill a regular sized Dual coil carto.

FWIW I use Riva Special Edition set up.

Best wishes.

You will still need to keep 2 set ups going at the same time to avoid the hot catro/atty issue. I chain vape as well, and get them so hot, the battery light flashes on a non-timer cut off batt. Once they cool down your fine. Try to change units before this happens. Batteries will live longer.

I do the same since I also chain vape. I carry 2 or 3 PVs around with me at all times. that solved the "atty is hot but I don't want to wait to take another hit" syndrome.....
