Hello all. First post. I started vaping about 6 months ago and quit cigs for good! I started with a 650ego and a ce4 tank with menthol ejuice. I have since bought about 7 Ego batteries with the Ego C Twist with a Vivi Nova being my favorite setup so far. My local vaping shop has recently upgraded their setup and did away with the Ego stuff and told me that I needed to upgrade to a better battery. She is trying to tell me that all of their newer heads will drain my 900 and 650 mah batteries really fast. I have a list of some of their products and wanted to know if and why these won't work with my batteries. Here is the list,,,,,,
Kanger Pro Tank 2, Holo Tank 2, Mini pro
I Clear 16d, 16b, 30s, 30b
Nautilus
I Click.
Any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated. One more note, thanks to you fine folks on here, I have started rebuilding my own heads and am saving even more money!!!!!!

The higher the resistance the shorter your battery life ... I think

The OTHER way arround... at a fix voltage, the lower the resistance the HIGHER the amp draw...

Higher amp draw = less battery life....

----

4volt @ 0.1Ohm = 40 amp = 40 000 mili amp

4volt @ 1 Ohm = 4 amp = 4000 mili amp

900 mili amp an hour @ 0.1 Ohm / 40 000 mili amp =0.0225 H of battery * 0.7 = 0.01575 H of battery

900 mili amp an hour @ 1 Ohm / 4000 mili amp = 0.225 H of battery * 0.7 = 0.1575 H of battery

*The factor of 0.7 makes allowances for external factors which can affect battery life.

1H = 60min = 3600sec
1 Puff = 5sec

3600 / 5 = 720 puff in 1 H

720 puff * 0.01575 H= 11.34 5 sec Puff (@ 0.1 Ohm) before battery die...
720 puff * 0.1575 H = 111.34 5 sec Puff (@ 1 Ohm) before battery die...:vapor:

tadammmm hahahaha

the protank 2 will work just fine with your battery.
Your local salesperson is doing her job by telling you you need a new battery, shes in sales after all...
That being said, a larger battery life is never a bad thing, that and the advantage of variable voltage in most of the upgraded batteries is a plus. ITaste VV v3 is a winner in my book.
or even just your typical ego twist or vision spinner.

Desmond,

ECF does this if someone else posts while you're writing yours. When you post your response, none of the responses that have come in since you started writing will have the "like" option. Re-load the page and it will show up.

All they had left when I got there was the Protank 3 dual coil. Getting ready to try it out on one of my 650's to see how it does and how long it lasts. Thanks for the welcomes and all of the great advice!!!

you should be fine with these. although it might take you a bit to find the coil resistance that you like most.

They're not hard to rebuild. If you've done the Vivis, then I'm sure you'll be fine with PTs.

Yes the PT2 heads work in a PT3. That's what I use in my PT3s. I don't want to try building dual coil, so I just build singles on my old PT heads and use those in my PT3 minis.
You can't do it the other way around though: using PT3 heads on an older PT.
