hi all! I have a generic 901 battery,atomizer charger. My question is will the vl cartomizer fit in my 901 battery? I'm having problems refilling cartrigdes and am think about going to cartomizers.

Welcome dragonlover. I believe you would need a 901 to 808 adapter if there is such an animal. Someone more technologically inclined would know. They are probably busy right now.

My understanding is that the threading matches, but will not work without adapter or mod. Here is link to past thread concerning modding (sp?) the carto by drilling a hole. Have not tried this, it seems as the adapter would be relatively painless.

Lawilli (sir or Ms.?), my suggestion is the adapter or get a kr808 batt itself. Modding's a lot of hassel just to use an 808 carto, and if you're not careful, you could kill the batt...
@ anita--if i when i do find the "money tree" trust me LOTS of people will know--good karma. And too everyone else THANK YOU i think what i'm gonna try is an adaptor and a pack of prefilled cartos. If that does the trick then i will probably get a different battery. I've been told that because mine is an automatic and has that silly hole in it that the liquid could leak in and ruin it if i start refilling. seeing as the v4l battery will work on the charger i already have i won't lose money there and then i can use the 901 atty to try out new flavors. Does this sound like a good plan?
Completely agree with Morandir! I do stick to the KISS motto and only use V4L 808 and cartos. However, it is interesting others have made it work with a bit of effort. Oh and its sir.
There is a lot of effort and money spent trying to force two things to work together that were never really meant to.
It's not that expensive to get chargers/ batteries especially from V4L, between the smilin discount and the constant sales you will be set pretty inexpensively and you won't risk any damage to your other equipment. But whatever you decide to do I hope you enjoy the cartos and feel free to ask any questions you want and welcome to V4L

When you buy an adapter from a site I get the 510-901/808 battery, and it works fine, so OP you can use the cartos on the battery.

I am pretty sure since it says 901/808D in the discription, it is the same exact thing, now if OP ment 808 then no, it is different threads, but if it is the VK threading the 808D then yes you can my friend!

I can't answer your question, (I'll leave that to the experts) so I'll stick to hello and welcome.
The 808D1 carto will screw onto a 901 battery, but it won't work as there is no air flow. That is the only issue and why an adapter is needed.
The 901 charger will work with V4L batts (as the threading is the same).

Bingo...the airflow is the issue.....I too bought an adapter as my hubby uses the 901....and i also have an adapter to use the 901 atty on the 808 batt......it is all about the air flow
Ahh, well adapters are better then regular studs as you can change the airflow with a screwdriver, I love it.
