If the ejuice you are using is PG your throat is probably dry but the red spots could be allergy related ( I have heard about this alot....allergies to PG) I would reccommend changing to VG liquid and/or lots of water. If it persists or gets worse see your physician IMO
What strength liquid are you using? I drip and have had a sore tongue (almost like I ate something too hot). This was caused by taking too many "Wet" hits and getting liquid on the tip of my tongue (usually after a few too many beers). Higher nic level juices will of course be more of an irritant than lower nic level juices. I have also found that if you drink more water it will reduce throat issues.
I got both as well as mouth ulcers. I looked up mouth ulcers on this site and found alot of info which made me feel better. And they have gone away. Everyone on this site will stress drinking plenty of water, and that will definitely help. Also, I think there is just an adjustment period. Another suggestion I have tried is to rinse your mouth out with mouthwash before you go to bed and that will get any excess pg/vg out of your mouth during the night.
I haven't had this problem. As player30 suggested, maybe rinse your mouth out before you go to bed? That might make a difference. There are PG allergies, but according to an ECF poll re this issue, not many.
I only have a problem with 100% PG - it's too harsh on my tongue and throat. I'm fine with 70pg/30vg and I am now trying some 80PG/20VG. Some people like 50/50 but I have not tried. You can choose the PG/VG base for your juices at a number of vendors. I like FreedomSmokeUSA juices - their tiny samplers have a fixed PG/VG and nicotine but their normal sizes start at $4 and are fully customizable for nicotine and PG/VG.
