Hi,

Im thinking of picking up some snus and snuff. I have been vaping on and off for a year but cant seem to kick the habit completely.

Any suggestions for a starter? Ive read through these threads quite a bit. I am really confused by the vendors and whether there are any in the US?

Would anyone be willing to sale me some so I dont have to spend ~15-30$ on shipping for one-two cans of snuff/snus?

Thanks for the input guys

If you register at the generalsnus website there is a dealer locator. Also, do you have any idea of what kind you want to try. That may help to see who has what and whether they are willing to sell some. Let us know. Also, toquesnuff has free shipping.

I would suggest going to snuson or somewhere and read some reviews of different snus to try to pick some that sound good to you. Also snuffreviews.com is a good place for snuff reviews. The problem with the snuffs is that there are so many different ones that it would take forever to work thru the reviews. We might be able to suggest some if we had an idea of what kinds of scents or flavors you liked and if you were interested in menthol snuffs or not.

Just backing hittman up here. For me, finding a local retailer was definitely the way to go, I used General's website to find them. I then picked up one of each General flavor and tried them. From there I was able to better understand real snus and it made my first order much easier. I get my snus from Northerner, mainly because the shipping isn't quite as high and once its ships, its at my house in 2 days. As for the snuff, I'm just as much a noob as you.

When it comes to ordering snus it is worth doing a price check between northerner and snuscentral. I have run into some that were over a dollar or two higher a can at northerner than at snus central. Depending on how much you order, snuscentral could be cheaper not to mention depending what your state tax is, northerner charges tax and snuscentral doesn't.

i didnt know that hitt. northerners shipping kind of sucks. if i was dropping 100+ dollars an order it wouldnt be so bad , but i went through and got about 7 different snuss's'es , and my order was still only 36$ . shipping is another 3 cans...

as bad as i want to try onyx , and juls , i justt cant bring myself to pay that shipping.

as for snuff , toque has very good ordering , im still awaiting my first shipment.

other than that , call every tobacco shop and ask them if they carry general brand snus. then ask if they carry nasal snuff. so far out of 10 i called , 2 have snuff , everyone else either laughed , or said whats that?

Hova, I got some free samples of general mint from a local tobacco shop once that is supposed to be a distributor but they don't stock it and won't order it. They said general sent them to them but they aren't interested in stocking it. The only snuffs I have found local are W.E. garrett and red seal. I was lucky enough to discover snus pre pact and did a little stocking up but I have ordered post pact but will only order if I'm planning on spending $100 or more to offset the price per can and that way I don't order as often and end up spending less on shipping. I also try to watch for shipping specials and free can offers of ones I like. There are ways to get the price per can down even with shipping. Especially when you order rolls you get a better price.
