6 months ago I was told at the age of 29 that I had copd, what a bunch of crap I thought. No one at 29 gets copd. Then I started to notice my health just wasnt there I felt sick all the time and ive had no energy. I'm an active individual and just 7 years ago I was running 9 miles in just under an hours time and doing 250+ push ups a day. So all of this has been hard to accept but, then I had to come to terms with the fact that whether it was fair or not smoking was starting to take its toll. Ive been around it my whole life and smoking has become a part of who I am. Ive tried the patch and well it just hasn't filled the physical need I miss, so I tried one of these e-cig thinga ma jiggyes and well I thank God I did. Its just your run of the mill 7-11 special but hey its working. I havn't had a cigerette in 10 days now and I think this is the out I was looking for from a life of smoking those damn things. I feel 10x better then I have all year and it's just been 10 days. I'm a little worried about the whole copd thing though because I have a wife and three little ones who all depend on me and love me so much. I owe it to them to stop smoking whether this is my timing or not and I believe the e-cig is going to help me accomplish that. I've ordered an e-lips kit from litecigusa, some 555 ejuice, and spare parts so between that and becoming a member of this site I think its safe to say I have officialy become what you guys call a newbie. Wish me luck.

As you become more and more accustomed to using a PV rather than smokes, you may consider trying to alter your method. Keep reading this forum . . . really GOOD info here . . . and pay attention to french inhale, I believe it's called. Basically because the nic in vapor is attached to larger particles than that of smoke, your mouth and nostrils absorbed it better than your lungs. If you can get past the inital trials of switching your "habit" over, you may find the rest of your journey to being smoke free even better for you by not inhaling at all, but rather using this method to get your nic-fix.

Congratulations for making the switch and all the very best to you and your family . . .

Man so much info on this site and you guys are great. Thanks for the warm welcome. Still waiting on my 1st real e-cig to get here. I have an xhale 02 I bought from 7-11 that died and a envy bliss that introduced me to vaping but only worked for a couple days and now is broke too so I'm really hoping the usps can get there act together and get that baby to my door by tommorow! Should have been here yesterday? But hey I almost bought a pack of cigs and instead thru on a patch so I can tell that I have finally made the commitment to quit. But man I'm jonsin.
