Hi,

I'm pretty new to this. I tried a "smoking everywhere" e cig a few years ago and didn't care for it. A friend of mine recently got an eGo and convinced me to try it out. I've been smoking for 12 years about a pack a day and decided it was enough. I got my eGo-t a week ago and since the very first time I tried it out, I have not had an analog :)

I'm actually still pretty surprised by the whole thing. I was hoping it would help me cut down, I had no idea it would make me not touch them again, but I'm definitely impressed and happy.

This whole e cig thing is a bit overwhelming though! I took a week just reading about different brands and deciding on what exactly to get. A whole day deciding on e liquid...

I bought a kit, a ego-t type b w/ 900 mah batteries. I also bought a LR atomizer to try out. I've noticed a lot of leaking. I'm also having a hard time with the flavors. I have a sweet tooth and the first flavors I tried was RY4 and original red from liberty flights. I liked them both, however the original red makes me throat really dry and the RY4 seemed more appealing to me. I bought 8 more e liquids to try and I'm kind of bummed out by them. I got Churchill, virgina, highway(555), usa mix, home counties, blue berry, chocolate cream and cappuccino( all by liberty flights). Blue berry and chocolate cream.... were really gross :-/ haha not at all what I expected. The only new ones I was okay with are 555 and maybe the Virgina one but I'm still unsure. Churchill seemed completely overwhelming. Are flavors from other vendors to taste the same/similar? I'm kind of scared of trying new flavors now. I tried vaping usa mix all day today to see if it would grow on me and by the end of the day I decided its not going to.

About my eGo- t's, should I be cleaning them daily? How often on average do you need to buy more of each part?

Welcome to ecf I don't have an ego t so can't tell ya how to go about cleaning them. As far as juices go don't be scared. Taste is subjective, maybe set aside the juices you don't like while you try more out. Might like them in a month ya never know. Also maybe try a differnt vendor. Congratz on quitting and happy vapin

They are most likely leaking cause your doing it wrong, lol. Sorry to be blunt. Glad to have you here with us. I don't like the "T" kits, they are lousy in my opinion. But hey if its your first e-cig its the best one out there because it got your foot in the door. Keep reading and you will find an even better device and you will be done with those nasty analogs forever!

You have good batts (lowers) try some nice (uppers) for it like a Boge carto. or the SmokTech Thunderheads Tim at VaporBeast sells both of them for under $8 shipped. You cant go wrong, as long as you vape you will never have too many uppers!

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF.

My eGo exceeded my expectations concerning smoking as well. Blew my cravings out of the water. I reminded myself the first few mornings to take at least 5 vapes before I had a smoke, and I never did have a smoke after I got the 'real deal'!

My recommendation would be to try the LR (low resistance) Star Dust (Vision eGo clearomizer) on your eGo to solve your leaking problems and to enjoy the convenience. The tip screws on after it slides in so it doesn't leak. It can be filled from the bottle easily, holds 1.6ml, and has a reasonable lifetime, at least a month and I haven't had one quit yet (also rebuildable repairable if you are so inclined). They are easily rinsed out with water. They do need to be broken in, but what that means is that they just keep getting better.

As for the juices, set them aside and try them in a week or 2 weeks. The flavor may change or your tastes may change. You can also, especially easily with the Star Dust, mix 2 or more juices together, a little of this and a little of that to change the taste.

A touch of menthol brightens almost any flavor to be at least vapable! lol

Enjoy!

Congratulations & Welcome! One suggestion I'd suggest for juice is to try a few sample packs or sample sized bottles from a few different vendors to find what you like best. Also, don't be surprised if it turns out not to be a tobacco flavor at all (this came as a great surprise to me, but I haven't bought or mixed a tobacco flavor since my first juice order).

One other thing, I'd recommend getting a good dripping atomizer or two & drip tip for testing your e-liquids. Direct dripping is the best way I can imagine to find out what a juice is supposed to taste like at a certain voltage & resistance.

Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Thank you guys so much for the welcome and info! Hopefully another few weeks and I will figure it all out. It is a lot to take in. I tried watching some videos how to clean them and I'm really nervous to tinker with them. I don't want to break them/mess them up. I saw one guy burning the wick and burning the atomizers!
I want to eventually get cozy with a good e cig and everything I need including favorite flavors in larger bottles and extra supplies. It is so refreshing to not smoke analogs anymore. I wish I would have done this a long time ago.

What do the cartomizers do differently than atomizer? I really should have looked more into that. I know nothing about cartomizers. I figured they were just prefilled cartridges, like in my original e cig and a different route to go if you didn't want to fill liquid.

After I tried my e cig( I waited for my husband to come home and try it out with me), I tried to smoke an analog and it tasted horrible! I was shocked how awful the vaping made an actual cigarette. Which was a good thing, but I was not expecting it at all. I tried twice after that just to see and basically say "goodbye". Which sounds silly but smoking was extremely ingrained in my daily routines and it felt and still does feel weird to not take a break every hour or so to stand outside and smoke. Sometimes I take my ego outside just for the "break", but enjoying to convenience of smoking it anywhere I want :)

I think I am going to order one of those clearomizers! I was considering upgrading to the ego C but I didn't know if that would make a difference or not. I really don't have a ton of money but not buying 2.5 packs of analogs per day at $6.50 is definitely giving me some wiggle room. What does the menthol taste like? Menthol analogs made me sick, I really disliked them. I also am not big on minty stuff( like toothpaste/gum/medicine)... But definitely open to try all sorts of stuff. I want to get the flavor thing figured out, soon.

Hi mreynolds and welcome to ECF. Here's an Ecig glossary to help:
E-Cig Glossary. Definitions, abbreviations, and meanings. | eCigology
Atomizer is the element whereas the cartomizer is the cartridge (holds the juice) and the element in one piece. As for your sweet tooth Cotton Candy is the sweetener used to sweeten juice. I hated menthol analogs but vets told me some new vapers like it in their juice. I NOW love menthol. You can buy it separately and add it to the juice. DRINK LOTS of water. I DIY all my juices but you may want to consider buying sample packs BUT realize from vendor to vendor the juice may be named the same but taste completely different.

Good Luck.

If you are experimenting with flavors, treat it like your spice rack. Start with a few basic flavors; Cherry, Vanilla, Menthol, Butterscotch, and a few of the ' best sellers', a tobacco, an RY4; add a few of fruit flavors that you may like; and have fun! A drop of this, a dash of that, needs just a little more of this. It's amazing how much fun vaping flavors is after being shackled with the burn of tobacco. Ever notice that all cigarettes taste mostly the same, some a little smoother, but basically the same. It's great to be free to explore! If it tasted so great, how come tobacco flavored ice cream never got invented?

Try places that allow samplers. 3 ml is a good size to test. Don't get large bottles at first because you may not like them at all. Better to get 10 of 3ml than 30 ml of something you may not like. Your taste and the taste of the juice may change a little over time. I thought I would like tobacco (Duh). Well I could hardly stand it after a few days. Now I mix a little of something else with it and it's OK. It's great to be able to adjust the flavor on a whim.

Have fun and enjoy!

Thank you, that helped a lot - I wondered if different vendors were going to have the same juice name, but completely different in actual taste. I wish I had some friends vaping local to me so I could try out their flavors! At this point, 10 flavors later, I still have no idea what I like or what direction I am going to go on my next flavor purchases :-/

Is there any easy way to change flavors a whole bunch with my ego t? I tried 8 flavors between 3 atomizers and a few were so strong, like potpourri almost, that I decided quickly I didn't like them. Others, I wasn't sure if I was actually tasting the flavor or a mix between the new one and the old one. I tried blowing on the battery connector part to get extra juice out of the wick and taking a paper towel to wipe everything down. I especially noticed after trying the blueberry that flavor most definitely lingers and for a long time. Now I have a blueberry undertone with a tobacco flavor, which isn't too bad but I would like to try this tobacco by itself to make a good judgement on it.

You're very welcome. Later I'll check and see if there are any Vapefests in your area. There may even be lounges in your area where you can sample juices and hardware (pv's, cartos, tanks, etc). Also some members trade juices. As for buying a new PV wait and look around. When you've decided on the new model ask about discount codes- same goes for juices. I bought 3 X 1100 mah PV Kits for $20.00 each awhile ago- regular price was $45.00 each. 100 mah= 1 hr vaping before battery needs to be recharged.

Here's the Supplier's page:
E Cigarette Suppliers Forum

Here's the discount code page and is constantly updated:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...iscussion/146219-coupon-code-master-list.html
Good Luck.

If you have 2 batteries then I wouldn't worry about getting more. All the 'systems' they talk about are really just a battery and a switch (don't tell them and burst their bubble). If you need more batteries or back ups, buy batteries, not a kit. You do not need a kit if you already have the charger and especially if you know what you like to use as a clearomizer or carto. I think I got the most for my money with a 1100mah pass-through battery (kGo knock-off) that charges with a USB cable (like a cell phone) and I can still use it while it charges.

A low resistance (LR) Star Dust or Vision eGo is a good investment at around $5 each. Not perfect, but better than most of the others.

The 'T' is not my forte but there are lots of videos on YouTube on cleaning atty's etc. and lots of people here who will jump in to answer.

Sounds like you are already having fun.
