Hi folks
Thanks ecf for the join.
I'd appreciate some advice and thoughts from others please. I've been vaping since last March & am happy with my mini nautilus using 1.8 coils, I have no wish to sub-ohm vape... I just need the nicotine i use a coolfire iv and run on 4.0 volts, i am getting bugged out by having to re charge almost every day and am considering the coolfire plus, however to me it's just not as aesthetically pleasing on the eye BUT it's battery has way more oomph! Either that or considering a kanger nano or mini, all of these I can run my mini nautilus on instead of sub tanks. What are people's thoughts? Insights? I really don't want a mod any larger in size than the coolfire. Huge thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the forum @Tee-j. Glad to have you here!:)

I believe you are confusing power (watts) with mAh.

The mAh stands for milli-Ampere-hours and indicates how much electric charge the battery can provide. The higher the mAh, the longer your battery will last before it needs charging.

Your Coolfire 4 has a 2000 mAh internal battery. On the other hand, the iStick 50 watt has a 4400mAh internal battery.

The iStick 50 watt (4400 mAh) is the blue mod. The iStick 30 watt (2200 mAh) is the pink mod

If you went with the Coolfire Plus or Kanger Subox Nano or Mini you could put a 3000 mAh 18650 cell in them.

I just plug my USB in and recharge after every vape session. That typical for me. The coolfire has a 2000 vs istick 2600mAh battery, may want to consider an Eleaf istick 40TC next mod purchase.
Use a sub tank at sub ohms and any battery(s) is going to wear out faster than using 1.8 ohm coil.

Hi and welcome. The iStick 50 would be a good choice. So would a removable battery mod. Then you could just slip a spare battery in your vape case or pocket (in a silicone battery sock for safety) and swap when you needed to, charging when convenient. Panasonic, LG and AW all make batteries good for 20 amperes and safe for vaping with 3000 mAh capacity. I would recommend the Sigelei Mini Book for a mod under those circumstances, it's about the size of the iStick 30. It's also the same price as the iStick, but it would be exceeded by the need to buy two batteries and a charger which would run another 20 bucks or so. Finally, the ne plus ultra in battery life is the Reuleaux RX200. It holds three of those 3000 mAh batteries. I have one (with another on order) and it lasts a couple days vaping at 60 watts; might manage a week between charges with your wattage. It's also amazing how small it is. It's wider in the middle-- two batteries wide-- but shorter and thinner than even the iStick 50, amazingly comfortable in the hand and lighter than many two battery mods. It isn't exactly pocket friendly, and would mean buying 6 batteries and a 4 bay charger, so it may not be the choice if you want to carry it around or reduce up front costs, but I took a pic last night to illustrate the size. The mods L-R are Koopor Plus, Sigelei 150, Snow Wolf 200W, SX Mini, Smok Treebox and the RX200. The SX and the Treebox are one battery mods.

And here's the silicone battery sock thing:

If battery life is really an issue, then a dual (or triple) 18650 mod is the way forward.

I only use single battery mods and then have one on charge (when necessary) and use the other one(s)... all 'lots' of them.

I guess if I was buying today and only had some basic kit, I'd go with a double battery.

Charging 18650s tends to happen on a Sunday. What with them and a few iSticks, running out of power is unlikely.

You might find having another Coolfire might ease the situation. :)

Well after trawling net & reviews I'm now between Kanger subox mini or nano, according to most reviews the nano comes up better for those vaping a 1.5 coil than the mini , however the mini comes in white! and i like the contrast with black buttons...

How strange. I can't see that at all. It's the same tank/vape. The Mini actually has better airflow options... (Mini version 2 base vs Nano version 1)
Just get the one you like the look of and need the extra/less juice capacity. :)

Hi and welcome. I suspect it depends how much you vape and at what power - me I get through two Nautilus Mini tanks a day of juice, vaping at 3.7 volts on a 1.8 ohm coil and my iSticks 30s give me two to two and a half days. Were the laws not changing endangering this set up I'd be using this combination until I kicked the proverbial bucket!

Welcome the the ECF Forums @Tee-j , and congrats on your success in quitting smoking. You're actually a veteran vaper by now! Awesome.

You KNOW then, what to do about quandaries like this... simply get both. ;)

Haha! Well pretty much the same i vape @ 4.0 volts & do 2 fills a day on mini nautilus, coolfire iv. Lasts a day to day & half, work 12 hr shifts & can't charge at work so was thinking kanger & 2 batteries so I'm less likely to have a meltdown when batt runs out at work!

@Tee-j

Ive heard a few things.. Only 2ml tanks allowed, only 10ml of nic to be sold at 20mg/100..for us that makes juice ect..

E Cig Regulation UK - 2016 is set to change the way you vape

The partly good news is some regulation is offering a year's 'mop up' period for certain products.
If this is true, tanks over 2ml might not be totally illegal until 2017. This might help, especially if you decide to stock up on rebuildables or popular subtanks.

(I'm stocking up on both. I figure 100 factory coils should protect me from crisis moments.)

Same here, I have 10L of nic in glass bottles stored in the freezer but agreed, more tanks and coils are needed for me...few more mods too.

The info I have is as above - I am stocking up with Nautilus coils and have two rebuildable Nautilus deck en route to me from ivapor in York in the UK to keep my Nautis running as long as I can. I have however a fully mech squonk box ( not cheap) which has no wires and no electronics which I can rebuild/repair for ever and a day, two rebuildable BF atties and about 3 miles of wire. I am now stocking up with 18mg juice plus nic base liquid ( which you have to keep in a freezer) but old style chest freezers are cheap to buy and cheap to run. If the worst comes to the worst - me I'll be found down on the street corner with the junkies buying e juice...but cummon every big factory or neighbourhood bar in the UK already has a baccyman...
