Been ok so far but been vaping a lot. Guess I will slow down soon. Determined to do this .
And thanks
Vape as much as you feel you need to. Many people starting out ask Am I vaping too much? You can get a little sick or woozy if you really overdo it, nicotine overdose. Same can happen with cigs if you think about it. If you start feeling a little crappy just take a little break and drink some water, maybe eat a little. Usually passes in 20 minutes or less. Even though you are using low nicotine juice you can get a lot of it at once with that device you have.
But don't be paranoid about it, you'll know when to take a break.

Im feel better now I know that vaping a lot at 1st after quitting is normal . Havent felt crappy at all, no nic rush or sick headaches , nothing. If anything sometimes i feel im not getting enough of a hit, but 3ml of nic to me is a great start after 20 years of smoking 15-20 a day and really dont want to up the nic as it will be taking a step backwards. Its only been 72 so Im confident i can stick to the 3mg ! Willpower and lots of vapeing. Im really enjoying tasting new flavours, didnt think they would be so nice !!! Yum

Congrats and welcome to ECF, keep up the good work! I felt awful my first couple weeks but I was a 3 ppd smoker. Chain vaping is 100% normal. Also, you'll be detoxing off a lot of stuff, so just keep plugging away. I found this really useful during the quitting process, although recently I have slipped up and been smoking cigarettes. I really want to stop. I don't want to go all through it again. :(

This was really helpful for me to read during those first few weeks....

Thanks for the reply. Im so glad people are telling me the chain vape is normal. Ive been filling my 8ml tank 3/4 times a day so far. Hopefully it will reduce soon.
Wow 3 ppd is a lot so I really wouldnt be too hard on yourself . Just keep trying Im pretty sure you will crack it in the end. Im very much at the beginning of my journey so who knows what will happen. I very much appreciate the in depth link you attached for me will have a good read of that. Who would have thought that giving up could be so difficult and have many side affects. So far so good tho. I have only had the dry throat and slight cough. I was a little shakey on day 1 and 2 but it seems to have stopped for now.
Thank you for the message and good luck on your journey also x

Hi and welcome EMG83!

72 hours - woo hoo!! :bday:

I don't think having a higher level than 3mg so you don't feel the need to vape so much is a step backwards. Nicotine is not the villain that we were told it was (its the other crap in smokes which is nasty)! IF you don't find the 3mg satisfying you might try a 6mg/ml for a while. No shame in that at all!

Keep it up. It DOES get better.

Sounds like you’re doing great!

I did not expect to quit smoking when I started vaping, but to cut down. I did find myself chain vaping, and I too was surprised at how yummy some of the juice is!

Within a few days, I just kind of forgot to smoke, lol.

Sometimes, 3 mg is fine, but there are timed I need more. I try to balance getting enough nic with not using too much juice, so I have several strengths and use as high as I need.

One way vaping is different than smoking, you don’t get more and more addicted, at least in my experience. Many of us started at much higher nic and just naturally dropped as time went on. So I have no worries if I need 12 mg in stressful times. Just as likely I’ll grab the 3 mg in the morning, and go hours without craving.
