I'm so excited to have found this forum! I've been smoking over half my life now and have tried various types of e-cigs over the last 2 years. As of New Years day this year I've been off of Cigs and have replaced them with the e-cig full time. I started with the gereral ecig starter kit but it had a faulty battery first time around. I wasn't too impressed but soon started trying other Electronic cigs. I was using a Janty-stick with various e-juices which was fantastic because of all the new flavors!! But I now have a new favorite called the 'Go-go' which has worked the best for me. I've had one battery die on me, but I've stocked up and rotate between two sticks and three batteries. I trade off between two different flavors because I taste the flavors better while rotating them. I dunno...I'm a wierdo but It works for me.

Lateley I've been using the Lung juice 'Pear' and 'Watermelon' 12mg juice. I don't know if it has really made a difference with the claims they make about it being better for your lungs....and there appear to be no studies to back those claims up. I just got a couple new flavors with 18Mg because I'm not quite getting the hit I want with the 12mg, but it's NOT the Lung juice so I'm not sure how it'll feel yet. I guess I'll see what happens.

I have lots of reading to do in these forums though and look forward to talking with you all about the fabulous world of e-cigs! :vapor:

I also have two flavors with me at a time if im going out for the day, It can be a nice chage.
As for their not being any studies done, I dont know if there have. However, I do beleive it is way better for you that those nasty old things. With vaping, its just the PG/VG base, flavoring, and nicotine. You dont have the smoke, the tar, the additives and all of the bulls**t that are in those. Personally, I feel loads better after switching. Before it always seemed like I was either getting sick, sick, or getting another sinus infection. Now I havent had that happen since i switched over a few months ago. I haven't posted much, but if you have any questions I can try and answer them, and if I can't, there will be someone who will be able to tell you :)

Don't worry about it being wierd, most of us do it as well. It's the ones that don't that worry me....

Welcome to the ECF Family Emily :) Congrats on being Analog Free since New Year's! I also rotate a few different flavors throughout the day, and I agree that when you rotate them you can taste the flavors better.

Edit: I also have Insomnia, but I'm not 100% sure it's from the Nicotine or something else.

Welcome Emily! I carry at least 6 or 7 different flavors everywhere I go.. I change it up a lot through the day. And I have the insomnia thing going on too, but had that problem before I started vaping... so it's just a bit worse now! I can't help but vape before bed either.. I work till 11pm so vape pretty heavily when I get done, which doesn't help with the sleeping problem! Everyone will tell you to vape lower nic but you don't get the throat hit, and that's what I need out of this. Sounds to me like you're off to a great start!! Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Only problem I've had really is Insomnia....it's really hard for me NOT to vape before bed. I used to always have a smoke before bed but never had issues falling asleep...

It's strange you mention that. I as well have had quite the time trying to get to sleep at night since I made the change a few months back. Never really connected the two... But vaping can sometimes give me a bit of a rush during the day. It seems that now I can't stop my mind from racing where as before I would close my eyes and be gone without struggle. Might be interesting to start a thread on this and get a few more opinions....

Welcome to the ECF Emily. I love your hair! A girl after my own heart! I had the underneath of mine pink a few years ago. I mastered the brightest hot pink I have ever seen using the Raw Color from Hot Topic. I bleached the area and then kept the pink dye on for like 18 hours. It was just as bright 4 months later lol. Everyone kept asking me where I had it done. Congrads on making the switch and good luck on your journey.

Welcome to ecf, I too am pretty new to the forum, and to vaping. The one advice I can say is, if you are happy with the set up you are using, then don't change it. Just because there are people out there using $200 - $300 setups don't mean that they are enjoying vaping any more then you. I think I found a setup that I like, and until it don't work for me anymore then I will keep on using it. This life style is sooooo much better then smoking analogs. I really do love vaping. Sounds like you got a great handle on things. Now that you can exercise with breathing heavy, you won't have to worry about gaining weight. Just remember, do whatever makes you happy, just as long as it don't hurt any one else!!

Hi Emily & Welcome to ECF! Best suggestion I have regarding the insomnia thing is to vape a lower nic juice beginning a few hours before bedtime. I don't know what juice mix you use but if it's a PG/VG mix (and not straight one or the other) & you miss the throat hit you might up the PG in the evening juice a bit... that's what carries the TH & the flavor. I've played with various mixes for this purpose & had some success, but to be honest since I drink coffee until bedtime my success has been limited. Also I'm retired so it doesn't matter if I'm up 'til sunrise. :D

Glad you're here... Blessings, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Wo0t! :D Here I am, crazy ol' coot & still runnin' on Rock & Roll Time! And in truth, it's not entirely without penalties; usually by the time I wake up, get coffee'd up & check my voice mail there'll be half a dozen calls from the same people every day wondering if I'm okay. But as for the fatigue thing, if that rears its ugly head I just make more coffee or take a nap. Life is sweet! :)

And BTW, just 'cause you *can* post anywhere you like doesn't mean you shouldn't drop back by here and advise us novices from time to time. Otherwise some of us will threaten to remain stoopid.

Best of luck, Blessings out in the Real World, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:
