Hello! It's been a LONG while since I have posted on these forums...I did some self-Christmas shopping and decided to upgrade from my everlasting eGo-T to an eGo-C Twist. (Ordered the starter kit from CigNot for about $90.00 shipped). I was looking at the "Anybody interested in showing off thier eGo setups?" thread and noticed that 90% of people are using a clearomizer. I am basically a newbie when it comes to this department, as I have only used a used eGo/eGo-T. I've been looking around and see so many different variations that it is pretty much boggling my brain. Can you guys recommend me ones that would work the best with what I just purchased? What are the advantages to these add-ons? Thanks!

[WRONG INFORMATION DELETED]
Those go for about $30-$40 on most sites...

Add a few reviews like these: and you get even MORE of a ripoff...

My wife has used the oye eGo-C - Type B for a month now. Unfortunately, all I seem to hear about, and try to do is stop the constant leakage from the tank cap. We have purchased the rubber caps at the suggestion of a utube video but that doesn't work either. We waste lots more fluid that what is vapped due to the leakage. We are very dissatisfied, not with the concept of the product, but with the product itself. Don't waste your money on this unit as you will be miserable.

You can upgrade to the Twists in the drop down menu to select battery type/color. That's why it ended up being around $90.00

*sigh* Where would you recommend buying a kit from? Not that it matters for me at this point, but for future buyers =)

TotallyWwicked usually has some good deals...
But yeah, $100 is WAY too much for a twist kit..

My suggestions for clearomizers are the Kanger T2's (top coil, warmer vape) holds 2.5ml; and Kanger T3's (bottom coil, cooler vape) holds 3ml of juice. Both have changeable coils. Both easy to fill and clean. Fantastic taste and vapor production. No adapters needed. Looks really good on the twists and they come in a great selection of colors.

I prefer the T2 because of the warmer vapor. Excellent for RY4!

Don't worry about overpaying. I did that on my first 2 kits (901T and eGo-C), and it's all about the journey and the experience you get along the way. :D

As for clearos, these seem to be the most popular in the forums lately:

Vision ViVi Nova (and mini)
Vision 2.0 (Stardust w/ replaceable heads)
Kanger T2
Kanger T3

I've used each of them over the past few months, but I prefer the Kanger T2s on my twist batteries. I like the T3s as well, but since they're bottom coil the vaper is a bit cooler, and I prefer the warmer vape.

Careful Titanium, you will get shot down for mentioning that name, but not from me! I think all newcomers should be aware that there is a quality device that can always be depended upon. That name is Provari.

There are many types of clearomizers, CE4/5's seem to be popular.
Also, Vivi Novas.
Once you get started, you should 1. think about atomizers and dripping, and 2. Think about a Provari.
Anyways,
Good luck.

Buyer's remorse at it's best

Although, Totally Wicked's starter kit only comes with 1 device vs the 2 I purchased. Either way, nothing I can do about it now except enjoy it and post here before my next big purchase to make sure I am getting a fair price!

So any suggestions on clearomizers?

It's ok..most if not all of us have done the same thing :)
It's great that ECF is here what with all of the sites popping up all over the place, I would spend hours going from site to site comparing prices on vapestuff but can do that because I am retired and have the time. Most folks have stuff going on and don't have the time for all that noise..ECF is a really good resource that can help cut through all the confusion and alert you to good deals on vapestuffs :toast:

Hi! Let's see.... First thing is charge the battery. They come only partially charged. Voltage is based on the resistance of your atty/carto/clearo. You fiddle around with it to get it fine tuned, but basically low voltage/low resistance or high voltage/high resistance. I use around 1.7-2.0 resistance, with voltage around 3.7 to 4.

So I have been using it all day and every once in a while a horrrrrrible burnt taste comes up for about 5 consecutive vapes. What is this caused by? The tanks that came with my starter kit were different than my normal eGo-T tanks because the whole is prepunctured. Has anyone had this experience? Right now I am using an old tank from my eGo-T and it is fine...I'm wondering if it's just these tanks that came with the stater kit. If I get a burnt taste again, then it's something with the eGo-C atomizer I am guessing.

I use vivi mini novas and when they get that burned taste, I either have to swish the juice around a bit to wet the wick or it's time to replace the coil.

Best way for me was to just buy a few vivi mini novas, some kanthal wire, and I use cotton ball wick and it's good to go. Only takes about 5 mins (if that) to rebuild a head so after the initial cost (~10 each), I don't have to buy heads anymore and when I get a burned taste, just pop in a newly built head.
