I was reading another thread that was older in which someone was looking for a Newport like Ciggy. I was 34 yr smoker, started with Newport and then switched to a WaWa Conveinance store brand called USA Menthol for two reasons, one it was cheaper and second it was very close to a NewPort. Anywho, I have not had a Stinky at all in over a month and half. That is huge for me, considering I smoked for a lot of years and was up to 2 pks sometimes more a day.
When I first switched to vaping I began a hunt for the Newport, I quickly found out after a lot of expense of testing various juices, that no Ejuice will replace the taste due to many factors including the burning of paper and the tar, etc. However you can get close. This leads me to writing this to help others possibly cut their time searching for a replacement of the Newport or like Menthol Stinky.
I also learned and believe it the taste is dependant upon the type of device used as well. I began my transition with a MVP 2.0 Itaste Device, which by the way is wonderful device. My first tank was a Evod. I quickly moved to a Pro Tank , then to a Aerotank, and ended with the Nautilus which I think is Superior to all tanks of this nature.
I started the Ejuice search for Newport and bought tons , to speed this up, I ended up finding two. The first is called "NuPort" and can be obtained at vaping Zone, I found this after testing many juices to be the closest. Not only in flavor and menthol but also the vapor that it emits is very close to a Stinky in consistency. I quickly emailed them and asked what blend are they using for the mix and they told me 60pg 40vg. This probably explains the vapor change as I normally ordered in a 50/50 Blend but on this there was no option to select.
I noticed the tank being used causing a difference by mistake, My Nautilus was in need of a coil, so I switched to a Pro Tank for the day until I could get some New Coils. That is when I noticed a slight change in taste and Vapor. I then , to experiment, put some in a Evod and that was different as well. When I picked up my new Nautilus Coils, which were the same Ohms as the others , I was back to being pleased with the juice.
Then within the week I upgraded to a Reo Grand. Wholly Cow what a difference! The taste in my opinion is as close one will get to the Newport in my opinion. This is probably due to the Reo being a bottom fed Dripper like device which I never used up until I purchased the Reo.
The nice thing also about this juice is you can buy the NUPORT Concentrate and quickly make your own and save a boat load of cash as well. I am convinced that the device and tanks/atomizers you use become just as important as the Juice when using tobacco flavors.
There is another juice that I also feel is worthy to consider and that is New Harbor by EC Blends. On this one , there is some adjusting to the mix needed upon ordering. That is to order it as 50/50 blend, extra Menthol, and add the sweetener, all of these you must select upon making the order. I also am using 24mg nic in all my Tobacco Blends.
I think they only thing for me to try with the NuPort blend is possibly experiment this as a 50/50 Blend as the throat hit is very close but not quite to the actual Newport.
Hopefully this search I began is helpful to others trying to get the Menthol Cigarette taste and save you quite a bit of time and money also.
