Well, it's my week to pick for our football pool (my wife and I switch every week who gets to pick). Needless to say, I have a couple PT2's on standby. There are a few games this week that are hard to predict though.

If Denver wants to trade Von Miller (which I don't think is likely), I would be more than willing to give them Jairus Byrd and a late pick in next years draft :D.

I know Indy loves them some Peyton Manning, but the video tribute before the game was a little much. They're really trying to throw him off.

Nah, Irsay's just an idiot. But it would take a lot more than that to throw Manning off. Plus, he's always better the second half..everything will be way calmed down by then.

Actually, the NFL and all the analysts have stated flat out that it's a brand new rule this season and this was the first time it was ever called.

The only thing brand new about it is applying an existing rule to special teams. The previously existing rule has been applied to special teams in the past. However, where you may have room to complain, the original rule just hasn't been enforced for quite a few years. That rule simply states a player cannot push a teammate to advance ground. We see that all the time, just think a player running with the ball being stood up and a teammate running into the pile behind them to push it forward. Pushing the pile is allowed but directly pushing the teammate is against the rules, even if it is ignored.
