I'm not sure if this is the right forum category to review an accessory, since it is neither a whole unit or a juice, and there's no accessory review board. As I couldn't find a review before on these with any real information before I ordered, I thought I would post one about the NHaler drip tips that I acquired for use on my 510 stuff.

NHaler Drip Tips

I'm someone who almost exclusively drips, as I find it gives much better vapor and ultimately is a lot more time efficient and less messy than pre-filling carts, cleaning cartridge filler, fiddling with tea bag mods, etc.

I was somewhat hesitant to spend the money on a plastic tip, instead of just knocking out the end of one of my cartridges, but that price is still less than a pack of smokes where I live, and I do spend a lot of time during the average day dripping. I also am guessing it would be quite expensive to get these manufactured in the first place, for such a limited market, and as it turns out there seems to be a lot of thought put into the design and obviously was manufactured using quality materials.

The drip tip works exactly as it is supposed to. Just drip a couple drops down the hole at the tip, and the juice slips right in. None seems to come out the top. I haven't got any juice in my mouth yet. I normally prefer empty whistle-tip cartridges, not wild about the large size of the round ones, but this drip-tip is more like a rounded whistle-tip, you can still hang on to it in your mouth at the skinny part of its neck with no hands if need be.

The other genius part of the NHaler drip tip is the rubber seal that grips it to the atomizer. Yanking my old carts in and out all day means they start to loosen up and slip out on their own, especially when the atomizer heats up and expands; this rubber grip ring holds it in there good and tight. It holds tight enough that one can unscrew the atomizer by turning the drip tip.

The drip tip sits perfectly snug on the top of my eGo cone using a stock atomizer, but it does require removal before the cone can unscrew from the battery, as the tip is slightly wider than the atomizer. Since battery changes occur for me only once or twice a day with the eGo, it is no big deal to just unscrew the atomizer by the tip itself before loosening the one from the battery.

Recalling that there is some variation in height in atomizers, I dug through the pile of old ones and found a wide-band Innovapor atomizer that was a few millimeters shorter than my regular 510 attys from Cignot. The drip-tip still fit on the atty and sealed tight with the rubber grip, it just sat a little bit higher on the atty, but caused no problem.

I know there are some metal drip tips being made, and I will probably try out one of those just out of curiosity; but I am much happier with the idea of plastic being near or touching my teeth than a metal mouthpiece. The smooth curved design makes my PV's look less like some strange drug paraphernalia and more like a classier smoking device, as they resemble more the mouthpiece of a tobacco pipe.

So, I give it three or four thumbs up. It does what it is supposed to, and it looks cool as well. Another great evolution in e-cig technology that along with LR atomizers and extended battery life, is making the world a better place.

Good review G_Jones :thumb:

The drip tips are great. To clarify, they're made of delrin, which is a plastic, but is very durable. Nothing like what regular carts are made of. Well worth the price.

I've been using them since they came out about a month ago and no sign of wear. Dishwasher safe. To give them a quick clean just run a q-tip through them - don't even need to remove them from the atty.

The shape of these tip seems to be perfect. Very comfortable. You used to use flat tips and I preferred the round ones on my 510, yet they work great for both of us.

They're made to fit both a 901 and a 510. For me they fit the 510 a bit too snugly, though if you like to dangle your PV from your mouth that's a good thing! I just replaced the o-ring with a #60 o-ring ($1 at lowes for a pack.) You can also use them without the o-ring with no problem if you want.

And yes, they do dress up an e-cig. Nice sexy curves :p

Which version are you using?

This semi controversial review caused modifications.

IMHO there are far too many reviews that lack any objectivity, and without them innovation gets loss. As is/was, the drip tip had some major draw backs after the dust settled from the original bandwagon generated with the fanfare of vapefest.

What was not objective about it?

I'm using a couple of the first released by XHaler. What drawbacks are you referring to? Mine work great!

BTW, your 'review' link doesn't work.

I found this very interesting - G Jones sounds like me with the yanking off of carts to re-drip and how baggy they get (drives me bats lol) and Ive been considering hte SUper T-Tip but, like this reviewer I really prefer the whistle tips. I have some round tips and honestly find them way too large to feel comfy.
This drip-tip still sounds like its less than ideal for me as its also round, and I don't hang my PV out of my mouth (hated seeing smokers do this with ciggies too lol) so I'm probably going to stick with the baggy old annoying carts. I totally understand that a real dripper tip can't be whistle tipped as it defeats the whole purpose and dripping into something about 1 mm wide would be impossible. I might take another look at these ones though, when my patience with plastic carts runs out yet again :)
Thanks for the review.

Yeah! I forgot about linking to "the" other site.

There didn't seem to be an appropriate place to reviews these elsewhere but since we drip with them, the liquid sub is good enough. If not someone please move it.

Overall impression 2/5. Unlike an atty that may need seasoning etc... a drip tip is pretty much a straight forward device, that either performs out of the box or not.

Although this rating might seem low, the NHaler drip tip has some positive attributes.

Pros

The ergonomics are fair, the tip is comfortable to vape from: 4
They fit the atty nice and snug, maybe a little too snug: 3
No need to keep replacing a cart after dripping: 5
Washable: 4
Made from Delrin not metal: 4
Can be used in public in classy venues without shame: 4

Cons

Hole too small requires proper hand eye coordination/alignment: 2
Liquid has a tendency to stick to the sides: 2
Becomes air locked with moderately viscous liquids: 1
The design builds up condensate: 2
Doesn't fit properly on my eGo: 1
Only comes in one size (510); 2
Price tag; 1

OK now that the slam is done, what can be made to improve on this device.

I believe that through time (we hope) that once the R&D funds recuperated these tips will be offered at a better price. At this point the principle dis-advantage is indeed their price tag. I ordered two, I thought about ordering more but retained myself. I would have ordered 5 a $5 ea. I am glad I didn't.

Although the plastic has a nice feel compared to metal, and remains cool, this advantage also inhibits the flow of liquid down the tube and is probably why it sticks to the sides.

It is my understanding that the design permits it to drip directly onto the atty. This is not necessary and reduces the hole size. The latter maybe an advantage to those that do not mouth vape, but vape directly to the lungs. I did both, nah!

I believe the marketing strategy on their release couldn't have been timed better, but overall, they fall far short from the mark with the current price tag.

My rubber pen tube has a soft feel to it, is comfortable, washable and can be dripped into fairly easily. Cost? The cost of a pen. Although I would not use this set up in public, it vapes like a champ at home, where I do most my dripping.

OTOH, after a week on the LR attys, no reported problems yet, and they get a 4/5. A little on the pricey side, but for a stock LR atty, they perform above expection.

I thought through the hooplah that the D tip was nothing short of phenomenal, it was a dis-appointment. I will hang on to these two for as long as I can, because until the price seriously drops on these, they will not be replaced. The're simply not worth it IMHO.

In closing this review, I don't own a T Tip, because that price tag was simply exorbitant for what it is, a metal tube with a hole in it, and a $0.35 "Oring".

Kudos on the LR atty, thumbs down on the D Tip.

Edit (response to Lotus)
The new design of the D tip was concocted from negative feedback. IMHO reviews that only go oh and ah does not lead to innovations/improvement.

Why the New "Wide Mouth" T-tips really improve your dripping experience. I tested them with several juices and these were my findings:
1. SPEED, SPEED, SPEED. You'll really see that you can drip faster and more accurately. You aren't waiting for the first drop to drain, you can follow right away with the next drop(s) in rapid succession without fear of bubbling over or surface tension holding up the juice at the top or when you do hit off center, you aren't waiting for it to slide down the funnel.
2. It is MUCH easier to hit the hole, especially if you shake at all. Many of us became quite adept at the old version and had no problems, but you will really appreciate the increase in speed when dripping even if you were good at hitting the hole on the old version.
2. Pooling and puddling is greatly reduced. Since the funnel is now sunk in, the surface tension is less and it drains easier. The funnel on the widemouth is the exact angle as the old versions of T-tips.
3. When bubbling up/surface tension does occur, it doesn't bubble up and over the side of the tip like the old version since the juice is no deep in the tip!
4. You get much less juice in your mouth as even any residual juice that hung up around the top on the old version is now located much deeper in the tip.
5. All the T-tips are deburred with no sharp edges and are very smooth and comfortable in going into your mouth.
6. I find it easier to see regulate how much juice i'm dripping in. On the old version, the fear of bubbling, missing the hole, and surface tension, sometimes i found myself dripping a drop and wondering if the next drop went in or bubbled over the side or waiting for it to drain.
Compare to your old T-tips or any of the knockoff brands and you'll really appreciate the improvement!
Also, for those who have the old style, i will, free of charge, chuck them in my lathe, rebore them out and refunnel them to the new "Wide Mouth" design.

This is from SuperT manufacturing, but I believe the new delrin tips have been moded as well. There is a turf war of sorts going on with the drip tips, these days. The result lower consumer costs.

I am recently new to this scene, but have participated in numerous forums over the years. It is alright to say something is f...ed, but explain why it is so. That IMHO is called constructive criticism, which also IMHO leads to improvements.

The Drip tip hit the scene with such fanfare after Vapefest that you swore it was the second coming of Christ. I hesitated because I thought this thing was "special", well it wasn't and the review that was provided was bogus as well IMO.

There is a turf war going on at this time between SuperT mfr and Nhaler, which is good for us consumers. Apparently someone stole ideas etc... Well SuperT also produces the delrin drip tip, as a matter of fact he has incorporated the ergonomics of the "Drew tip" in his stainless and aluminium tips.

Outside of the drip tips, there is now a turf war over LR atties and several vendors have jumped on that bandwagon, cutting each others prices etc... win win for the consumer.

Personally as stated, drip tips are too expensive for what they do, all of them:D

Wow, very good review G-Jones, I just checked the nhaler site and I was about order the little device. Reading the other replies to your review and since you have a Jant Ego like me, could you please confirm that the Derin T tip perfectly fits to the ego, also, since I have to order a couple of atomizer, would you advice to order as well LR atomizer from nhaler so I can just put a single order? Finally I am too just a "dripper", what liquid do you use with your ego, I am kinda of lazy and like just tobacco flavor, I am not ready to go for mixing, or making my own juices yet...thanks a lot!

The Delrin tip does not fit the eGo as it is slightly bigger than the cone. It will fit the eGo only if raised slightly after the cone is fitted. For those that do not care to use their cone on their eGos/tornados, then this is a moot point. For those that do, you need to raise it to allow air to be drawn in.

CaptJay -- I like the whistle tips too. But, I just liked the idea of the drip tips so I bought a couple of NHaler's anodized tips. They are just about perfect...just a tad larger than a whistle tip and round, but feel really good. There is no problem with the e-liquid sticking to the sides...goes right in. The only slight draw back IMO is that with the first draw they are colder than a plastic tip. Course each drag after the first is just fine and dandy...but they never get too hot.

I am finding it necessary to adjust the Delrin 510 drip tip ever so slightly to allow air into the eGo cone with using a regular atomizer as it does fit so snug, if it is clamped down too tightly, no air gets in the cone at all.

The LR atomizers I got from NHaler are actually noticeably longer by an eighth of an inch or so than the regular 510 atomizers and protrude from the cone anyhow so the drip tip can't come in contact with the cone at all when using those.

I can see there would be a small advantage to the drip tip's base being flush with the atomizer for using it with stock atomizers.

I was concerned the drip tip may require more coordination than dripping directly into an atomizer, but found this wasn't the case at all as the hole at the top of the drip is hard to miss, itself being only slightly smaller than the rim of an atomizer. I haven't been able to miss it yet, despite rigorous field testing.

The drip tip has a slightly tapered rim that funnels juice down within, and is a pretty wide bore hole all the way through. I can't imagine it could be clogged up by any kind of juice at all. Using my drip bottle to drip from above without touching, or actually touching the bottle tip to the inside rim to drip, is really no different than dripping into the top of an atomizer directly.

The tip exceeded my expectations all around and my vaping pal approved of it too. I will probably try out the other kinds as well, they do look sharp, but a metal mouthpiece just seems like a bad idea to have near one's teeth for all day out-and-about kind of use, the delrin/plastic seems like a wise choice for that reason.

As for the juice I use to drip on my eGo, I have been using the Cignot VG juices, which seem to be just the generic Chinese juices but with the LR atomizers I am finding I can really taste the flavors of everything a much more now and will likely be ordering more "premium" specialty juices. I got some of the NHaler juices with my order and reviewed them here.

It seems you have the version 2. Because what you describe does not compare to the drip tips I have here (version1). My hole size is 0.166" or a #19 drill bit, and is straight all the way down.

I am glad that folks b..ching has caused improvement for the community. Price now needs to be adjusted. :D

I almost forgot, none of my LRs (15) are longer than my regular JoyE attys, which make the drip tip problematic to use on the eG0

After using these for a while, I wouldn't live without them (until switching over to some future automatic liquid feed system).

The only slight issue is with keeping that air gap at the top of the eGo cone, though not an issue with my other units. I don't see a way around no matter what drip tip, unless it was set up like a cart, as this as the tip has to be slightly wider than an atty so as not to slide down. I would think a slightly shorter cone replacement for the eGo itself would be the ideal solution as it would permit the easier use of any drip tip on various length attys.

My LR wide-band attys from TW are shorter than the regular Joye 510 and require extra adjustment, but my NHaler ones are longer and thus don't have the air gap issue at all.

I find the combination of eGo + drip tip a far superior, and less messy experience to my previous dripping system and hardware.
