I also have problems sleeping when I vape my high nic at night. I bought a bottle of the sleepy time lung juice from nhaler to vape at night. It works great and I can get to sleep on time. 30ML Lung Juice - Plastic Dropper Bottles - NHaler

I second this. REALLY tasty stuff, just like the tea, PERFECT flavor, helps me to relax, (Valarien root in it maybe?) Just excellent, excellent just before bed vape IMO.

Try it and if you dont like it, Ill take it off ur hands, ;)

I keep reading that people actually end up vaping more than they smoked - but I'm wondering if it evens out when you consider that a personally typically smokes until they finish an an entire cigarette ... whereas with vaping you may do it more frequently...but for not as long each time.

That's it exactly for me. Even when it seems like I'm vaping nonstop, I'm really just grabbing a puff or two, setting it down, then grabbing a puff or two again few minutes later. I think when I first started with my e-cig, I kept trying to feel some sense of completion with it, like an analog. But after a while, you finally get reprogrammed to just hit it when you want/need instead of trying to "smoke" it.

Nicotine doesn't effect my sleep at all either...

But then again, i could drink a pot of coffee and go to sleep too ;)

I haven't had any sleep issues at all since quitting analogs and starting vaping. My sleep patterns are exactly the same as they were. And I find myself vaping plenty late at night when I don't want to go to bed yet, just like I'd smoke more analogs late at night to keep myself awake. Maybe I just hate sleeping? Once I do climb into bed, though, I'm out for 6 hours (normal for me). No problems.

I was using 24mg nic when i started vaping, and had serious sleep issues, so I cut down the nic to 12mg, and it seemed to stop the problem. I dropped my nic again to 9mg, and plan to be nicotine free within a couple of months.

My plan exactly. Who says e-cigs aren't a smoking cessation device? Our distractors are idiots.

My goal from day 1 was to quit smoking analogs. After that my goal became to work to zero nic. I have a behavioural addiction to smoking/vaping, no question. All the times I quit analogs in the past (sometimes for years at a time) what got me started again was the behavioural thing - holding the cig, drawing smoke in, seeing it exhale. It was never a desire for nicotine. I want to have a physical addiction to nothing. Getting to zero nic will leave only the behaviour desire that can come and go as I please without a physical craving.

I'm at 6 during the day now (started at 18) and zero in the evenings. It's been really easy to ratchet down. I just did it a bit at a time. The only downside it the missing throat hit with no nic. I'll search around, but I'm sure there's a DIY way to add some throat hit with menthol something else.

I tried vaping 0 nic menthol PG/VG/PGA (heavy on the PGA to try to get a throat hit) last night but it didn't do it for me. I think I will need to work my way down to that. I'm going to try lower "nic at nite" first, maybe around 5mg, and see how I do on that. I'm with Quitter, it's the throat hit that I'm really missing, and Menthol does give a strong cool feeling in the same area, but it's not the same sensation. And I think the high alcohol was causing an unpleasant sore-throat type feeling, so I'm cutting back on that. I recall cinnamon oil has a throat-hit like feeling, but it's bad for attys, I can attest to that, although some people have used it without issue cleaning their atty in alcohol every night. Also, that cinnamon is kind of an overpowering red-hots flavor, and it's real hard to get out of an atty - you pretty much have to dedicate one to it or plan on everything you vape tasting like cinnamon.
Or I could stop vaping a few hours before bed, that would not be hard, right?
Naahhh... ;)

I'm on the zero nic road too, but I have to get some decent flavor and throat hit..

Check this out, I'll be giving it a try tomorrow

I have no idea if this is due to the things I stopped having from analogs or a change in nicotine level (I have no idea if I've gone up or down but its sure to have 'changed' one way or the other since moving from analogs to e-cigarettes nasal snuff and snus)

but especialy the first few nights after moving off of analogs I started having more (or more memorable and vivid and strange) dreams.

I think if there any one nicotine supplying thing I might be most likely to blame that on if I consider one of the new things introduced as the culprit instead of thinking it might be the result of whatever you are getting off the mystery analog stuff when getting away from them) I'd probably say it was most likely the snus and not the e-cigarettes (because I think I had also been falling asleep with a snus in my mouth about that time, which was also a new thing for me to be doing)

I especially had one episode where I don't even know if I was falling asleep or had just woke up but it was nighttime and I was in bed and I had this sort of 'night terror' or really big panic attack about nothing in particular even, I was just really afraid.. of absolutely everything (and nothing) all at once. No particular things to be afraid of came to mind, I was just scared no matter what I thought, wasn't connected to anything I was thinking, it was just plain fear.

I'm glad that was just a one time thing.

I'm just a newbie 3 weeks in but I have to say that I also am getting the vivid dream effect.

OMG..This is why I am waking up all night long! I even wake up and vape in the middle of the night now..I am using 18-24mg all the time and find myself waking up like every hour! It sucks....Now I will know what to try!

Ive read that smokers don't seep well at night because you are going through withdrawal during sleep.

Claim: Smokers spend less time in deep sleep and more time in light sleep than non-smokers. The greatest differences in sleep patterns occur in the early stages of sleep when nicotine's stimulant effect is strongest. Researchers suggest smokers may suffer nicotine withdrawal every night, which contributes to restless sleep. Smokers may also prevent sleep from repairing and rejuvenating their bodies.

Menthol can add some good throat hit. Adding about 5-10% pure grain alcohol to your DYI can also add a good throat hit without changing the flavor of your non-nic juice.
