Nic Base, does it matter that much what vendor you buy from in terms of taste?

Here's a very long thread in which 4 brands were compared in a blind taste test. Nicotine Comparisons

Click on the chart in the bottom message of page 142.

I've used VT for about 18 months and am very happy with it. Even the Throat Hit is very smooth, and super cheap (while it lasts). Throat-Hit Nicotine - Vapers Tek

I see the "while it lasts" comment , is this a temporary sale ?

I really don't know. It's merely an assumption on my part.

When the TH was first introduced I "think" it sold for $50.00 per liter (compared to $120 for the premium). I noticed a while back that they had lowered the price and grabbed 2 more liters.
Whenever the price of something is cut in half, there's a reason for it.

Some have speculated that the TH is the premium that has been slightly oxygenated to give it a little more throat hit. To me it doesn't make sense to take premium juice, add another time consuming step to the process and then charge less for it.

I speculate that it is the same as the premium but MINUS the final (perhaps very time consuming) filtering process.

Whatever the process (or reasoning for selling it so cheap), as Capt.shay stated "Why chance it".

Why chance it :)

Because i just got a liter of the TH from VaporTek in yesterday and i would of bought more but don't have the $$ now , it's my favorite nic. If it is going to change price any day now somehow i would have to find a way to buy more but if it's going to remain at that cost i can hold off for another week or two.

When I started I bought 6 small bottles to test. Three were chemically tasting. The one I ended up choosing was great and then changed their supplier down the road. If I want a large order or switch suppliers now I start with a small bottle to test from their latest batch, test that, then order more soon after.

yea Im looking for a clean smooth Nic could care less about throat hit being a Max VG guy... unless the TH product gives you bigger or denser clouds I wouldnt care. I was thinking of Nude Nicotine or Wizard Labs. My current vendor I have been satisfied with for the most part, but I really have nothing to compare the Nicotine to. I order from a local vendor that I can have shipped to my house within 2 days, place called Vices Electronic Cigarettes... have nothing to complain about I order they're Max VG Nic Base 100mg... I think for 250 ML it was like 35 dollars or so this was maybe 8 months or longer that I ordered and still probably have 30-40 ML left. Want to make a decision before the new year though if I should just stick with this vendor or look elsewhere.

Speaking of comparison r77r7r when you test the nicotine you vape the unflavored nic? If thats the case that could be some harsh aftertaste! I'd rather take a trusted ECF friends word for it that the nicotine taste clean but I admire your thoroughness :)

Sure do. In fact that's all I've ever vaped. Many here do the same. Not harsh at all, especially @ 50PG/50VG. Just buy the trusted brands we recommend here, not super cheap stuff.

Unflavoured vaping is my usual too 98& of the time im on unflavoured, months at a time, apart from being super cheap, it doesnt get old like flavours - you can get to where you feel a sense of "this is home" when you come off a flavour to unflavoured.

I know my first convert feels the same, yup a flavour can be nice, but somehow unflavoured is just right...every time i check in on him he always says, gee i really love coming off the flavours and back to the unflavoured....

It also helps you expose bad coils/wicks and even tanks...

If you vape low nic, like e.g. 3mg, then most of the flavor comes from the pg/vg and you can tailor your unflavored vape with altering those ratios. The sweetness comes from pg/vg btw. The nic brings reduced pg/vg sweetness, tobacco notes(sometimes) and chemical taste, pepper and throat-hit... Personally, i'm very fond of 3mg 90/10 vg/water unflavored... Also, vice's nic is alchems nicselect, or atleast used to be...

Yea the stuff I got is the NicSelect From Vices Electronic Cigarettes. (its actually not bad im sure theyre are alot worse nic bases out there!)

I have a question about vaperstek.org though, do I get the Throat Hit or the Premium Nicotine?

The Premium is twice as much 20 dollars for 120 ml while the TH is 10 dollars for 120 ml.....

This is also very important I want 100 percent VG as the base.... There is just an option for VG or PG on vaperstek for their nicotine bases.... Im assuming by selecting VG it would be 100 percent VG and PG would be 100 PG? Really important to my mixes that they are High in VG so 100 percent VG is a must have.

I forgot to mention im looking for a clean vape I dont much care for throat hit, is the premium nicotine base worth twice the cost of the TH?

I will definitely order through them if I can get 100 percent VG please someone clarify their base options...because where I have ordered from before it would give you different ratio options(EX:70VG 30 PG etc) here just two options VG or PG, im assuming if I select VG it will be 100 percent VG but want to make sure.

He used to use 5% water in the vg bases, and was thinking about using 10%, and also took votes against if the people wanted no water in the base, but yeah, atleast there shouldn't be pg in the vg base...

The TH version is much recommended in general and isn't very high in TH either per reviews, and the owner states the premium and TH is the same source, but one has been flushed with O2 to give bite, meaning slightly oxidized. Sounds strange, but that is the explenation we get...
