I have some 100mg Nic I have keep in a cool dark place for 1 year.I just learned to keep it in the freezer.I have stored it is glass jars in the freezer now.It has a slight tint of darkish color to it.How long or old before Nic will change the taste of your juice for the worst. How long is it good for stored in the freezer? Thanks for any help

That's just some oxidation and it will be fine. The worst that will happen is it will lose some strength but it should still taste the same. How does it smell?

No one really knows how long it will last in the freezer yet, tests are still ongoing, but quite a few years from what I've read. If it's 100mg it may end up 97mg after a few years and show some oxidation but that's about it.

Nicotine stored in the freezer probably would last for several years. There really isn't anything to "go bad" in the nicotine mixture. It may however lose a bit of its potency over time but nothing to worry about.

The color change you are noticing is caused by oxidation.

What you might want to do is make a sample of your base mix. Use your NIC/PG/VG but don't add any flavors. Sample it and it should taste like...NOTHING. If it doesn't have a taste you should be fine. Some people have posted that they notice their nicotine developing a peppery taste over time. I have never experienced that in my nicotine though.

Good luck!

I keep all my 100mg VG Nic in the freezer in the big Brown & Blue glass bottles, have some that is 2ys old and is still great, there is also no proof as of yet that it will lose its strength and personally I don't think it will at all if any, there is nothing to make this scenario happen to this chemical that I can see this happening,,,nothing is going to eat the strength :) so the test is ongoing for me. madvapes is also running a test that is posted on there news letter and probably on there website as well. They have like 4 bottle, one in the freezer, one in the fridge, one on the window sill, and one in a cool dark place I believe, or something like this, they are posting the results weekly of the Nic test they take weekly until it runs out, so this is a good thing. I highly recommend you keep it right where ya got it but maybe got some fresh Nic and put the bottle in the freezer too so you always have some good clean fresh Nic. Oxygen and heat aren't the best things for Nic, it thrives in cold and not letting oxygen get to it.
