So I switched to an ecig this past Wednesday night. Prior to that, I was smoking a pack of Newport Lights every day. If I had to, I could go about 2 hours between analogs before experiencing a nic fit. With the ecig, it seems I can barely make it 45 minutes and the fit is quite intense.

The woman who made my juice gave me 16mg juice. She seemed hesitant to give me anything higher because I only weight about 100 lbs.

So, am I just not smoking enough of the ecig at one time maybe? Is my nicotine content too low? Is this just a normal reaction because the chemical composition of the ecig is totally different from an analog?

Yeah I swear it's the other chemicals in analogs the same thing happened to me. I got very frustrated like it just was doing the trick. Stick with it though that feeling will pass. I vape 24 mg and have been for 7 months. Now when I vape it's fun I don't feel like I need that fix. We'll sometimes I need that fix if things aren't going right. Haha.

You get the nicotine in your lungs and into your blood faster from a cigarette. With an e-cig I've heard it described that more of the nicotine gets absorbed by your tissues of your mouth and throat which makes sense because it's cooler and would condense faster.

You'll not be able to recreate that same buzz imo. Then again if you keep it up for a few months it will get easier and in the end what you get from an ecig will be enough for you. It takes a while.

Good call centurion. Yeah just stick with it. The payoff Is well w worth it. Now what I get from an ecig or pv is more than I ever got from stickies.

Nicotine from cigarettes gives you an instant nicotine hit. Because vaping delivers nicotine to the body much more slowly try vaping more frequently than you smoked. I started with vaping at least two or three draws every ten to fifteen minutes which prevented cravings for me. That's not a surefire method of preventing cravings but is a place to start.

Same here although I have noticed that when I go a longer period of time between vapes I can 'taste" my juice more if that makes any sense.

Cig makers add ammonia to cigarettes that freebases the nicotine so it absorbs faster and stronger(1). It took about 3-4 days for me to make the switch and feel normal again. I also was using 12mg stuff which was too weak. Vaping is so worth it. Hang in there.

Try drinking more water or vape a different flavor for a little bit. I use Twists but I always keep a light tasting juice loaded on my cig-alike that I just use as a palette cleanser. Also, I don't make a point of vaping so frequently anymore. I just vape whenever the mood strikes and don't have any urges to smoke cigarettes. I sometimes wonder if my body has just decided it prefers the slow nicotine vape delivery over the quick hits from cigarettes.

Yeah, think you're right. I bought tobacco and rolled my own, but always TRIEB to buy packets marked 100% tobacco on them. My friend smoked ready mades.
I found it a lot easier than he did to go on to vaping. So maybe it is all these filthy additives.
We're still vaping, however, after 4 months, and it's easy now.
I did smoke a roll up when I was in a pub without my PV, and it was "nasty" tasting. Don't think I'll ever start on analogs again.

Kinda feeling the same way. Like I'm constantly having to puff on the ecig, but then again I work from home so I was constantly smoking too. I would catch myself lighting one up right after another. We just gotta stick with it and I have a feeling all those cravings/feelings will go away. I Just hope vaping dosnt get that way and have to vape 24/7 like we did on ciggs. I dont mind doing it a lot just dont want to have to depend on it

IN my mind you have two basic choices, vape more at lower nic or less at higher nic. I use 18mg normally but if I am traveling or working on a job site I use 24mg cartos so i can vape less. I have been vaping for 8 months now and am starting to get tired of hitting this thing every five minutes and believe I am starting to develop sore throat and flem due to too much "organics", been thinking about going up in nic and reducing my intake

Edit: Also must consider the nicotine in cigs is in the tar that sticks to your lungs, so I am sure there is some continued release even after your done smoking whereas vaping you dont get that.

Your reaction is very normal for someone new to vaping. Your bodies not only looking for its nicotine its still looking for all the other things in cigarettes that you're not getting by vaping. Vape as much as you need right now and dont worry about how often it is. Your body will tell you if you are getting too much nic and need to slow down.
