Sorry bout the link too brain dead. As far as shelf life I put mine in glass bottles then in a heavy zip locc bag (in case it breaks) and freeze. There was a thread somewhere that it should last for years if you get as much air out as possible. You don't need to leave head space as it does not expand. Cheap enough to give it a try. I am using 1 yr old and it is fine.

Dang, I wish this stuff had an unlimited shelf life. Good tip Dee74.

I fill 50 mL glass bottles close to the rim and put them in the freezer. After 18 months my 100 mg VG is no different than when I got it. Freezing and leaving little head room virtually stops any reactions. I use glass bottles with euro dropper inserts which act as a gasket and a syringe needle port/septum for easy and safe dispensing. The liquid does not freeze solid, and its VG. It becomes almost like rubber cement, but not solid. PG stays quite liquid, so is more mobile and might allow for trace reaction with dissolved O2 in it, but it is trace. Neither liquid expands with freezing. When I want a bottle for DIY, I bring it to room temp before dispensing.

Fact is the shelf life people constantly refer to here is for plant extracts in PG at room temperature. While I have noted that TWs 36 mg Chinese PG unflavored does become pretty tobacco-flavored after many months in the freezer and rather yellow, very pure nic in VG or PG should be fine for a LONG time frozen. I expect mine to last many years without significant change. And BTW I am a chemist, and all of this is chemically and kinetically perfectly sound. People can argue till the cows start vaping. Mine is still in new condition after 18 months. The conditions keep pretty much everything chemical from occurring.

Dee thanks for the heads up! Got in an order for 0.5L of 100 mg VG. Comfortably set for a very long time indeed! :)

I enjoy boxelder's quality. Yep, easy to store in the freezer as nicotine doesn't freeze.

Glad you like Box Elder, as it looks like I made a good purchase. Technically, however, pure nicotine does freeze, as it is a solid at room temp, but a PG or VG solution of nicotine does not freeze at normal freezer temps. If I had a SubZero freezer that got VERY cold, the VG might freeze solid, but that would only be a problem if it also expanded.

If people want to freeze their unflavored, PG should be able to stay liquid even in extra cold freezers. VG should be tested. Solid is fine, but you do not want expansion in a glass bottle of 100 mg liquid. To keep things safe, I put the 50 mL bottles in a larger container, just in case there is a break. Oh, the joy of making 10 more of those wonderful little bottles that keep me functional. For me its better than a wine cellar.

I bought 500ml of pg 36mg and 250ml of vg 36mg for 70/30 (or close) pg vg ratio. it's hard to beat the price and yes it will last years in the freezer. mine won't though. that's only a 6 mo supply.

I hope you dont mean thats only a 6 month PERSON supply LOL! Thats 750ml of 36mg nic. Assuming you are buying 36mg so you can cut in half to make 18mg nic with flavorings and PG/VG. Thats is 1500ml of mixed juice or.......100 bottles of 15ml juice. There is no way I could go through 100 bottles of juice in 180 days. THATS A LOT OF VAPING LOL!

maybe I figured wrong
750ml of 36mg, 30 ml no nic pg, 220 ml flavoring = 1000 ml of 27mg = 33 30ml bottles.

yep, if figured wrong 7 1/2 months. I forgot about 220 ml of flavoring.
