Yesterday I get to my office at 6:30 AM happily vaping my setup from the night before. 15 minutes later my battery light starts flashing. No problem, I'll just grab my kit out of my briefcase and charge it up while I load another battery. Unfortunately, I had left my whole kit at home. No batteries, no chargers, no cartos, nothing. Naturally, I freak out. I then discover that I have a sleeve of 4mg nicotine gum in my briefcase that is left over from my pre-vaping days. Back then, I used to chew @ 15 pieces a day between 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM then when I got home I'd smoke my analogues. So I start chewing and have about 5 pieces gone by noon when I start to get dizzy when I stand up and my heart starts palpitating. Comes and goes but scares me. My thought is that I had overdosed on the gum and I was getting way more nicotine then my body was used to since I gave everything up for vaping on 02/19/11. I vape like a chimney at mostly 18mg when I'm awake so I can only think that I am still getting way less nicotine than when I was chewing and smoking analogues. Needless to say my OCD took over this morning on the way to work and I actually stopped my car on the side of the road, opened my trunk and briefcase to make absolutely sure I had my kit with me.
