This is just a basic math question for purposes of keeping the old brain firing. If I were to actually start mixing this stuff up I understand I would need a far better understanding.

Do not try this at home.

Must be 19+ to enter. Or 18. Where I live its 19.

Anyway..................

Assume a 1L bottle of 100mg nic in 100% PG base with planned use at 12mg.

I am going to use round numbers for this project and finished product is to be 50/50.

Step of the 1L with 1L of PG and now 2L at 50mg.

Step on the 2L with 2 L to arrive at 4L at 24mg.

Now mix the 4L of 24mg with 4L of VG.

Would I now have 8L of 50/50 base at 12mg?? 800 little 10ml bottles?? Roughly 4200$ for about 150$ plus flavorings.

Is my math close??

hmm, since nobody questioned this, I was having a bit of doubt on my math, but here it goes.
When calculating Nic, isn't it against the total juice volume, not just the PG/VG base? Hence, additional flavor % needs to be calculated into the total volume. Above method would only work if no flavor was added. If you are adding 10 - 20% total flavor %, the math would be way off.

for example, 10ml of above pre mix base at 12mg. if you add 2ml of flavor, total volume is now 12ml. the final nic concentration gets reduced due to additional PG from the flavor.

The statement of "100% PG/VG" is minus the nicotine.
I always use PG base flavoring, and never exceed 15%. I withhold 15% of the required PG.
Having many various amounts and which may have different flavoring percentages, each will need the refigured amount of PG to maintain the desired PG/VG ratios. (Normal to mix different flavoring percentages, the amounts of each mix require the figure PG.)

Example:
“Base Nicotine”
50 mg.
30% PG
70% VG

“Desired e-liquid
16 mg. Nicotine
25% Propylene Glycol
75% Vegetable Glycerin
30 ml. Amount

Required Nicotine = 30 ml. / (50 mg. / 16 mg.) = 9.6 ml.
Contains: ( 50 mg. / 1000 mg.) * 9.6 ml. = .48 ml. of Nicotine
Contains: ( 9.6 ml. - .48 ml. ) * 30% PG = 2.736 ml. of PG
Contains: ( 9.6 ml. - .48 ml. ) * 70% VG = 6.384 ml. of VG

Required PG = ( 30 ml. - .48 ml. ) * 25% - 2.736 ml. = 4.644 ml. of PG
Required VG = ( 30 ml. - .48 ml.) * 75% - 6.384 ml. = 15.756 ml. of VG

In reference to all ya' that acquire the 100 mg. base nicotine.

My purchases have been in 100 mg.; which will change.
I’m not concerned over an additional cost of a few cents a milliliter by the expense of 24mg. over 100mg.
125 ml. of 24 mg. will net me near eight 30 ml. jugs of e-juice at my present dosage of mg.
The 125 ml. amounts remain in cold storage (unbroken) till used in full.

Happy Easter to everyone.
