Hi. I've been lurking about reading these threads for months...thought I'd finally introduce myself.
Ive been frustrated in my attempts to trade my smokes in for vapes for a long, long time. A few years since I got my first "pack" of cheap e-cigs. I went through a number of similar products over the years, te lt were the Blu's. Yes, I was a convienence store vaper...I know...I know...
Just a couple of months ago I finally purchased what I thought was the ultimate machine- the V4L Tintan XL manual with a tank. It beat everything I tried to date. In fact, outside of batterie life issues I can't complain. Well, I couldn't that is, until it broke. The post just popped out- and nothing worked when I tried to pop it back in. I called the manufacturer and was quickly told a new one was n it's way to me...
I had not even thought about smoking since the day I got my first one. Suddenly I am dependent on a USB pass through model I got from the same company which isn't satisfying to say the least.
Supposedly my replacement batterie was shipped out last Thurday. It's Sunday now and I'm climbing the walls...
I realize I've just begun to scrape the surface of vaping..and I look forward to picking out my next set up.
i want bigger, better, and of course, cheaper! I'm open to suggestions....

Hi Tasha, and welcome to the forum!
Sorry, I'm not familiar with the setup you have, but stick it through the best you can... I would think that you'll have your replacement by tomorrow.
My only suggestion: Have a backup for next time - and be glad that you aren't overseas with the military where USPS is no longer allowing lithium batteries... :)

Hi, Tasha, and welcome. First off, congratulations on switching!

I'm not sure what's the best next move for you right now, but I agree you should give us some more info.

In essence, if you are willing to spend more upfront on a good reliable setup, your running costs will then be lower. All sealed, "e-cigarette" and mid-size devices are "ultimately disposable" and will fail at some point. On the other hand, some people are not ready to go the APV route - either due to concerns of size and esthetics or due to initial price. Let us know...

Wow! Thanks for replying!
I smoked at least a pack Reds a day since I was a teenager...that'd be twenty odd years now (ouch!).
I like thoat hits that are warm and big...I miss filling my lungs with something I can feel...and lots of vapor.
The kind of hit that makes folks cringe and waggle their finger at me when they see me driving in a car with all the windows rolled up and my kid sitting next to me and I am happily vaping away to my hearts content.
Oh, I like long walks on a moonlit beach too...;)
I am not concerned with size or shape, it could look like a trombone for all I care, although I rather like portability...
I got the XL for the supposed "all day" power a singe charge allowed.
I really dig the tank, too. No comparison to their cartridges- I wouldn't want to go back to being stuck with a cartridge only type.

tasha, it would seem you may need a bit higher voltage to satisfy your cravings, they would be closer to what you get from a "no battery" type pass-through.

I would recommend a Vivi Nova carto-tank, if it's a Version 2. They are fairly new but I'm amazed with them after one week of heavy use. It's the first carto - atty - tank I've found that can in any way to compare in flavor, vapor and warmth to my CE2s.

Regarding a higher voltage PV, another of the vets (Mickey Rat) did a nice list here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/304325-gave-up-vaping-last-year-wanting-try-again-advice-really-wanted.html#post6345249 and I hate typing...:)

Now about the moonlight beach......

:lol::lol:

Hello all. I'm a noob from So Cal. Just started 2 weeks ago and analog free for the past week. I am finding the PVs much more satisfying on many levels. 1st and foremost, no more poison sticks! Freedom, great taste (love pillbox 38s Coffee flavor),no bad smells and the list goes on. I am actively trying to convert smoking loved ones. I am concerned with all of the negative press so called health organizations spred and what it could do to my freedom to practice my new found.....can I say, life saver?

I too am concerned about the possible regulation of vaping. I just got started, and it would be a shame to have it end so soon. But anyway, welcome! It's a fantastic way to quit smoking!

It is a fantastic way to quit. I quit for several years and for the first several months, I missed cigs a lot. I don't this time though!

Hello Tasha and welcome!
I tried my friend's Ego Twist (cost is around 30 bucks for the 1000mAh battery unit) and I fell instantly in love with the deeply satisfying lungful of vapor when using 4+ volts. Personally I am looking into the SmokTech VMax for $89 (with ECF10 discount promotion), but haven't fully decided yet.
Good luck with quitting completely some day soon!
