If you are talking 'standard' connectors - no. 801 is larger diameter.

I'm thinking of shopping the ol' Ace Hardware for a threaded brass fitting I could use. Another modder then used 'medical' tubing as the inner insulator and screwed in a brass screw for the positive post connection.

Looked super 'duh' easy and I don't have any 801 batts to steal the connectors from.

Good luck finding threaded fittings the size you need at a ANY hardware store.
Reading through the forum will give you many alternatives to removing connectors from your original battery.
The sticky area on top of every forum is there for a reason.:p
The subject has been posted about 3 million times.(o.k. maybe only 30,000)

While there are certain connectors that can be used instead of 901 or 801, there are now easier ways as posted by Cisco VERY recently.

The only connector that still remains a problem to be replaced by something else is the 510, and so far the only usable option is a 401 atomizer which has the same thread size. (a little cheaper than a 510 battery)
