So after making my first mod I really dig it but my atty gets so hot. I'm constantly having to top off my cart and dripping has made a mess. I'm using a 510 with the shredded ptb filler. This has worked fine with a standard 510 atty but this just doesn't seem to work now almost as if nothing is being vaporized from the cart. Any ideas? I'm looking into the blue foam cart mod but this is just really becoming a pain in the ..... I guess I'm just looking for some advise . . .

Dude...try some regular oxygen once in a while..it's pretty nice once you get used to it!

You shouldn't chain-vape a 510 with the normal battery.

You ESPECIALLY shouldn't chain-vape a 510 with a high-volt mod!!

Okay well that's cool and all but I just want it to work. Also, since when is 3.7 volts considered "high voltage"? Granted it is more than what a standard puts out but c'mon, I really made it for the longer lasting battery.

I didn't say you WERE vaping high voltage - did you read the FIRST two lines of my 'You shouldn't" list?

Sounds like you've changed your usage pattern going from an OEM 3.7v battery to a modded 3.7v battery - that was the point behind my tongue in cheek response.

I understand what you're saying and totally agree with your comments plus you've also helped me in the past. (sigh) . . . For the record, I'm not chain vaping. I'm just trying to find a way to make my carts last longer. Any other ideas from those not in the peanut gallery? (kidding mnealtx)

my juice usage has doubled just going from 5v to 6v.

you may wanna stay away from any pass thru that doesn't have a battery, unless you are trying to replicate the pass thru experience with a mod. if the latter is the case then maybe a nice HV mod is in your future?

Ok, all kidding aside - airflow is CRITICAL to the 510s.

Are you hitting it more often, or longer? Are you continuing to drag for a second or so after letting go of the button?

Did you do a straight install of the atty connector, or did you use Warp's RCA system? What did you use for the atty connector? A salvaged one from a battery, or one from a 401 charger?

Um I'm not hitting it more often cuz I cant seem to get enough juice to stay "in" the atty and not longer cuz all I taste is dry atty (burnt). And no I don't usually continue to suck after letting go. My draws only last 2 seconds or so. Also, I salvaged on old battery connector. Any other questions?

You're going to *need* to drag for a second or so to cool the atomizer after getting off the button - that's why it's getting so hot, and I'm sure it's not helping flavor very much, either.

Keeping juice in the atty, I can't help you with very much. I used fluval in mine, which was usually good for about a dozen drags before I had to put a few more drops in. Or, if I waited about 30 min I could get 3-4 drags. When it gets dry, try 3 on the filling and one in the atomizer - see if that helps.

I got tired of messing with carts and started dripping - much easier, at least for me. I can drip 3 drops and get 5-6 drags whether with my 510 or 801 atty.

you might consider using an adapter and going to a bigger cart anbd atty such as an 801 type instead of the 510.

I just started using the spring mod and its lasting a lot longer than other methods. Still not the all day long vaping that some say they get, maybe an hour of heavy vaping if I'm lucky, but better than topping off after every few puffs.
I do drip with an empty cart at home using a 901 usb passthru

That's what I thought it may have been (an old atty) but it's brand new, less than a week old.

This seems interesting. I've seen it done but haven't used the polyfil since my first burnt plastic taste.

I have a Nicostick with a 901. It's the best. I have used that blue spongy aquarium stuff with the small holes for 6 months. I did try the spring mod and just got more leakage. Sooo I cut a piece of that fluval about a half inch wide. Stick it in to the bottom of the cart, and cut the top level with the cart. I use a needle and syringe and fill from the bottom. I fill till the top looks wet but not puddling. No mess that way. Lasts at least as long as a cigarette would.

If you inhale and hear gurgling, stop and blow out the atty once. I also go over the inside of the mod with alcohol now and then.

How is this an improvement? Why does this seem to work better?

Mostly because of the foam vs poly, or fluval. But also because some people worry about the spring corroding or rusting.

I built the nitro stick and used the 4 bat box and run 2-3.6v 900mah protected getting 1800mah. I run my bats in pairalle not series! I dont see whats the problum, I prefill my carts 6-7 drops then insert the blue foam over sized with a small pair of stats and top off and useing a 510 atomiser. I smoke this thing like a train, great vape, no over heating. I love this mod. It runs for almost 2 days on a charge ( and I chain vape aswell )! If you run your atomiser low on fluid just like your car ITS GOING TO GET HOT! Presently building a 3-3.6v 900mah = 2700 mah and building a 3 batt mod changing the on off switch config to run 2 batts then switch to 1 for back up, the skys the limetI dont know what you guys are doing wrong but mine works like a champ
