510 NicoStick - 401 Atty as connector

No, the 510 atty and 401 battery are identical (both male). The 401 atty is the same as the connector on the 510 battery so it can be used as the connector when creating a battery mod for use with the 510 atty

Couldn't you also use the connector in a cheap M4 charger in a 510 mod, and vice versa? Then you wouldn't have to mess with atomizer internal parts.

You can get those chargers for around two or three dollars, if I remember correctly.

You can, but it's fiddly - the 401 charger connector actually works best in a buried installation due to it's shape. You also have to relieve the connector in some manner for air flow (either grind down the connector or slot it).

If I had to rebuild one of my 510 nicosticks and couldn't use Warps RCA system, I'd go with the atomizer connector vs the charger connector that I originally used.

I prefer using the charger connector. It has a nice rounded square shape to it, which I take advantage of by sinking it partway through the plastic, so that it has extra strength against the twisting that happens when you connect or disconnect an atomizer. Putting in notches takes only a few seconds with a dremel, and you can customize the draw to whatever you like.
