Has anyone noticed a sort of grassy taste to Nicoticket's Frenilla and CLS? I've steeped both for a month and a couple days ago I decided to try the Frenilla and I'm getting a very strong taste of grass or something and a fleeting taste of vanilla . Decided to try the CLS just now and I am getting the same thing.

Both were tried on an IGO W set up with a single 1.9 ohm micro coil and cotton at between 3.5 and 4.1 volts on a Provari. I've used Boba's Bounty, Gorilla juice, Bryce's Vanilla Creme Custard, and Halo Malibu on the same coil(Re-wicked and dry burned between juices of course) at around the same settings and have not noticed this grassy taste with any of them.

The vanilla flavors I do get from the 2 Nicoticket juices seems very nice but it is overpowered by this other flavor for me, I can't imagine this being the case with others as their juice is highly regarded around here. Do they just need to be steeped longer or is there a chance I got a bad batch? I really want to like the stuff and feel bad even mentioning it as Clark seems to be a pretty nice guy :(.

Clark recommends a 10-14 day steep on MOST of his juices....but I find them pretty nice ROOTB.....
Check into the Nicoticket Virtual VapeMeet Forum (under "E-Cigarette Suppliers") and post your query...Clark or someone there will likely be able to help you "fine-tune" your juice to whatever device you're vaping on......Good Luck!
FWIW.....It's HIGHLY DOUBTFUL you "....got a bad batch....:!!;) Mistakes DO occur, of course....but Clark is EXTREMELY careful with preparation and packaging.....My $$ says you need to let the juice(s) steep awhile (try steeping with the cap off for a day or 2.....then try vaping it again...).....
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Hi there!

Can't address the issue, but come to the Nicoticket thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/468259-nicoticket-family-virtual-vapemeet-eliquid-support-group-v-2-0-a-4072.html and post your question there.

Hmmm never experienced the grass taste you describe. I've had nothing but great juices from Nicoticket. A month steep should give you some awesome liquid gold. I would suggest maybe throwing on a new coil.

Remember, every has different taste buds so what you may taste, another may not.

Looks like I should have paid attention. A couple people already directed you there :) My advice out of the gate would be to mess with your coil height as relative to the deck of the W. Also make sure when you dry burn your coil to get all the nasty burned stuff off. I usually have to vape through weird flavors after I dry burn if I don't. Or just try recoiling. It sounds like something to do with that to me. The way that stuff tastes mixed with some ingredient in Clark's juice possibly.

grassy taste to Nicoticket

that just does not compute

unless you mean a peppery then maybe only if its right out of the mail unsteeped or with a very high nicotine to it
but once his stuff steeps Ohhhh Sooo Smmoooth

but grassy

Ahh NO

I was suprised myself but I do get a grassy taste. It's not a peppery taste from the nicotine, it's something else. I tried the CB a couple days after making this thread and unfortunately that too has the grassy taste. All 3 have been steeped for over a month now and are at 12mg.

I ordered the Nicoticket Crème Brulee and Custard's Last Stand a couple of month's ago and finished both of them in about 8 days. I normally try to vape as close to 100% VG as I can, since I have a low tolerance to PG. I will have to say, they did live up to the hype that these two juice's have. I didn't get any kind of strange taste with either. I do believe that everyone has a different taste in what they like in juices. Maybe it's just a matter of taste in this case.

I'm guessing a nice steep
will help whatever funk your tasting, although I gotta say.. How do you know what grass tastes like? I'm sure a cow can answer that question more than us humans. Can't remember ever grabbing a piece of my lawn and chomping it down, but to each his own I guess...Good luck with figuring it out... SMH ;)

Seeing how close our sense of smell and taste are related...it doesn't take an actual "taste" of grass to know what it would probably taste like. Besides, have you never put a blade of grass in your mouth as a kid?

My first order of NT was very early in my swap from darts, and I purposely tried to taste the flavours I ordered before I re-looked them up on the website. I got pine needles like the state of Maine and wood chips straight out of Maryland.....haha, but after reading the descriptions of flavors and having vaped them a bit more (and my sense of smell and tastebuds returning to normal), they are clearly as stated - mix of fruit flavors.....(specifically gravity and beetlegeuse)

I simply put it down to the total overload of new sensations of getting taste/smell back, and a weird thing where you trick your mind by taste testing without actually knowing the 'supposed' flavour is....

Now I don't taste pine needles or woodchips because the brain knows the combinations and my senses have returned to pre analogs....

NT is one of my favs...

Yes as related as our senses are and I definitely put more than a blade of grass in my mouth as a kid lol, but could only guess what that might taste like.. I get that I shouldn't take it so literally... I was just being facetious...it's just struck me as odd..

you can def tell when there's a grassy taste

the only time I've tasted it though is in some strong TA liquids
especially before they mature

but not in a dissert type liquide

I have CLS, CB, Frenilla and a little bottle of H1N1. Also have some CB and CLS from the last order. This is three orders total from Nicoticket and I have been impressed with the consistency. Out of the box I have found them all enjoyable and, while they do respond well to a little aging, I have not detected any consistency issues from one order to the next.

I have not detected any unexpected or grassy taste in the flavors I have tried.
