what sucks is i was hoping to use up all my 18mg juice(i've got enough for about 6 weeks.

i suppose i could cut it with plain vg/6mg and appreciate the hint of my favorite flavors.

I got heartburn too. I reduced from 24mg to 18 mg after my 1st week and from 18 mg to 12mg the 2nd week. I still hit on 18 mg occasionally. Heartburn gone.

I've cut down considerably on most water flavorants as most have a lot of citric acid that eats teeth enamel. Having braces at age 63, all molars with expensive crowns, lost two partial crowned molars that broke off all way down through roots, and extraction, and three front teeth hairline cracked from hitting others out of line (reason for braces) I've become very aware of anything that will weaken teeth integrity. Citric acid is killer for teeth enamel. Practically all canned/bottled beverages and flavors are loaded with citric acid.

My braces are $6K+ and implants will be about $7K. Plus need cleaning every 3 mos. I'm really wanting to prevent more damage so keeping the citric acid to minimum.

fatherdano, when I get heartburn, I drop my nicotine. I've gone from 24 to 18 to 15-16 to (now) about 12 over the past 2-1/2 years....and heartburn was my strongest indicator. That's just me, but I'd try some 12-15 mg nic and see if that helps. Also, I've always heard headaches meant too much nic and/or not enough water. Are you drinking LOTS of water? (More than you'd think you needed, I mean.)

That dull headache also tells me I'm not getting my caffeine. When I first started vaping, coffee flavors were among my favorite tastes, and I noticed I was getting that dull headache and realized that I was drinking WaaaaaaY less coffee than usual. Once I got back to my coffee (and dropped the coffee flavored juices for fruit flavors, mostly) the headaches went away. Couple of things to think about.

That said, I can't BELIEVE you've been at this for 5 weeks already! Where does the time go???!!! It seems like you were at about 7 days last I tuned in! You really are the poster child for new vapers in my books! You already seem like such an "old pro"....and I don't mean that "old" in the sense of "old." :)

+1 on that caffeine tip for headaches! You know the only thing that makes Excedrin the "headache medicine" is the addition of caffeine. Just because it is a "drug" doesn't make it so objectionable. When I start chain-vaping a bit much (my VVG makes that pretty tempting;)), a bit of caffeine beats tylenol, and is healthier, too. And I've finally made the move down to mainly 12 mg:toast:!

Isn't that the TRUTH!! My VVG is my all-time favorite new toy!!
