Hi,

I vape about 3ml per day (sometimes more, sometimes less). I vape 18mg. That's about 54mg per day.

I was a PAD smoker (with 25 cigs per pack). I read somewhere that one cigarette has about 1mg of nicotine, so that would be only 25 mg of nicotine. I read different numbers as well though.

Did I really double my nicotine intake? Or is only a portion of the 54mg absorbed by my body? I'm not ready to try lower strength, as I still have too much cravings as it is, and I like the TH from 18mg.

Thanks!

Depends on what brand of smokes you used to smoke. I myself smoked 2 PAD of Newports @ 1.4 Mg per cig I was getting about 28 mg/pack or 56 mg total though the day. Newports are higher nic content then most analogs, but most all the ones I have looked at are around 1.1 for full flavor, and around .8 for lights and .5 for ultra lights. With vaping you are not getting all the other chemicals in your body, so you may have compensated that with adding more nic tho.

Don't try to compare. It is absorbed differently. If you get too much nic you will probably get headache, rapid or irregular heartbeat, general hazy feeling or just feel yuck

If you think you are vaping too much, you could leave your ecigs in another room and go there to vape. That is what I do at home. Or you could get some lower nic for when you are vaping a lot.

Any information out there on how it's absorbed differently, and what % of the nicotine is actually absorbed?

I've only once actually felt any kind of nicotine rush from vaping so far.

Thanks!

I dont know that, but I am sure someone here does know. but to much nic will make you feel very ill. Just listen to your body and it will tell you if you are getting to much.

I don't know of any actual documentation on the absorption rate, but it's relatively common knowledge on the forum that only a fraction of what you take in is actually absorbed. At 18mg nic, you may have in fact lowered your intake. I was also a pack a day smoker, and I also vape 3mL per day, but I was vaping 30mg at first to stay feeling "normal", and finally stepped my way down to 18mg after 6 months.

When I vaped 12mg in DC all day I would get that general hazy yuck feeling.
DC is powerful.
I prefer CE2 or lower/no nic for all day vaping.
