Nicotine an ejuice

I was asking today at my local store about if they steep there juices they do but for 72 witch is fine but the guy also said be careful of steeping to long cause the nicotine breaks down is this true does the nicotine break down and what the general shelf life of ejuice

Nicotine can oxidize in juice over a considerably long time. Average shelf life for juice is up to 1 year.

From my readings, two year shelf life when stored in a cool dark place.

I have some juices that are over a year old, and I still seem to get the same nicotine punch.

I've read that if you keep it in a dark place that it slows down the oxidation process.

Madvapes had been doing a test of how much the nicotine was being degraded over time. Testing bottles stored under different conditions, but stopped after about 4-5 months. In that time the bottle stored "on the window sill, full daylight" suffered the most by losing almost 1 or 2 mg/mL, not a huge loss for the abuse suffered.

Average shelf life for most eliquid is about a year from birth date

I dont get nicotine in my eliquid but from research the most I know is the nicotine does oxidize over time and make your liquid darker from when you first received it. Hope this helped answer your question
