Getting ready to go for the DIY juice.
I found a reputable vendor (Wizard Labs) that I like what I see based on the reviews and there in depth analysis and description of their products.

My biggest question is the nicotine Base. Should Buy a high concentrate? And add drops to make my juice my desired base? 6mg ie.

I higher concentrate seems more logical to buy. Please enlighten me. Thank you.

- Read some of the DIY threads for tons of good tips.

- The 100 mg nic is the most flexible - if you use lower concentrations, you might find that you cannot reach your preferred PG/VG ratio - for example, if your nic is in PG, and you need 30% of your mix to be nic base, and 20% flavor, then you can't go higher than 50% VG...

- The 100 mg nic is also most economical, long term...

- I would not measure in "drops". Drops vary pretty dramatically. I recommend the ejuicemeup calculator, if you use a PC. It is great at letting you fiddle with a recipe; seeing how changing a flavor amount also effects the PG/VG and nic levels, etc. You can also use built-in recipes, or "Save As" with your own.

I also use ejuicemeup and love it. Highly accurate as well.

100mg nic for sure. And that's a great calculator. I've been experimenting with it trying to come up with a Spearmint. Got some TFA Spearmint and found that even at 4% it is WAY too high - very bitter. 1% seems to be the sweet spot for spearmint. Moving on to apple later. got some apple, green apple, and granny smith. going to try to make up a nice apple blend.

A little secret about using 100mg concentrate...

If you mix up 100ml of final juice, then the number of ml of concentrate required is equal to the final strength in mg.

For example, if you want 12mg final strength then use 12ml of 100mg concentrate plus 88ml of everything else.

Not saying don't use a calculator- I always do. But this simple formula gives you a reality check that you are doing things right. You will never get the nic strength wrong, worst case the PG/VG ratio or flavoring will be off.
