I first started on a cylaplex pv, it was really nice but I only had clearos with 0 nicotine. When I got my diy liquids and my cartos I mixed in 5mg nicotine. When ever I take a drag then do a mini inhale it seems to ignite my asthma. I have tried every voltage setting on my provari but still I get the terrible shortness of breath from my exercise asthma. Does anyone have any idea on how I can get nicotine but no asthma shortness of breath? It really bothers me because I love vaping... And I love nicotine. Also, the asthma only kicks in when I cough or have the need to cough.

Did you ever smoke? And did that cause an asthma attack? A full flavor cigarette contains 9mg of nicotine and you get 1mg of that from the tar coating your bronchials and lung lining. I've been diagnosed with asthma but don't think I actually have it. I think its allergens that cause my bronchial spasms. I live in a heavy pine tree area and certain times of the year when temps make them secrete their oils, I still get minor spasms. If I were you, I would lower nic levels to 1mg by adding 70%VG with 30% distilled water. If that doesn't cause a problem for you, then bump it up to 2mgs and so on until you find your nic level.

I did smoke cigarettes for about a year, usually a pack a week. But I have been smoking hookah for three years, I noticed that it only kicks in when a hookah makes me cough from harshness. I think it may be related to nicotine as well as a substance being in my mouth and/or lungs when I cough. But I will drop down the nicotine and see how it does.

Let me preface by saying I'm not a doctor.

It may be the juice delivery system you're using. If you have vaped before and haven't had an asthma incident, then it's not the pg, vg. If you're using a clearomizer like the stardust type or the vivi ova to vape with now, you may be getting dry hits that are causing you to cough. You might consider getting an inexpensive drip and/or carto. You can look in this forum to learn how to use it if you don't already.

Just a thought. Hope you find your ideal setup.
