Okay, let's see if my experience can help. :) When smoking, I got a stuffed up nose only while sleeping. Solved that problem with Breathe Rite strips. Turned to vaping only and still had stuffy nose only while sleeping. Have to use those strips again.

Could this be that since I'm not smoking/vaping in my sleep and nicotine, the constrictor, is now much less in my system at night, my nose capillaries have expanded making nose breathing more difficult?

Anywhere from 1/2 hr to 45 min. after I start vaping in the morning my nose starts to run and I'm blowing it for the next 1/2 hr. Could it be the nicotine has once again constricted/shrunk those capillaries and opened up my nasal passages?

My husband who never smoked, but does vape 0 nic at night watching the games (An 18650 battery will last all month.) hasn't near the sinus problems he had when "I" smoked nor does he snore as much. We got a "twofer" with my vaping! :)

Nah, it ain't the nicotine sweetie. When I get up and hammer the first vape, I too get all runny nosed for a spell. Think it is just our nature as beasts. Some get sinus and post nasal, some don't. I go back down South to Florida, I have no sinus trouble whatever. Back here in the Virginia's, every storm comes along gets me all stopped up or teary eyed and snotty. Think that is from humidity, barometric, atmospheric pressures in no particular order.

Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, which means it will definitely cause your arteries and blood vessels to constrict. If you're young and/or have no plaque buildup in your arteries this would not necessarily be an immediate threat (although it could be in the long run). However, if you're older and/or have significant arterial plaque buildup, use of nicotine could potentially result in your arteries closing up completely. I am not a doctor, but do have heart disease and have been thoroughly educated on the dangers of nicotine by my cardiologist and by my wife, who is a nurse. I no longer use any nicotine in my e-juice. I'd rather live a bit longer life.

Fair enough. You do what is right for you because it is right for you. :)

I too had a nurse offer me a mild stir about nicotine. Have high blood pressure. She mentioned it was vasoconstrictor. Still using the nicotine though. For my body chemistry I feel there is a need of it. May reduce what I use a bit gradually, eventually hoping to not use nicotine. Until then, I'll do what is right for me because it's right for me. :)

I wonder what the *patches and gum do.... Yet doctors prescribe those all the time...... (*when it was only prescribed till the FDA said that being on them indefinitely was ok and did no harm. The patch then went over the counter)

I do wish the medical community would get their stories/facts/lies straight among themselves....

My Doctor said that nicotine and caffeine both constrict temporarily. Raises the blood pressure temporarily, thereby, raising the heart rate temporarily. Some people can drink coffee in the evening and still go to sleep normally, some people are still bug-eyed at 2am.

I don't drink coffee in the evening and I have no problems going to sleep. I do vape in the evening and I have no problems going to sleep. Although they may have similarities, I have found that vaping, with nicotine in the evening, isn't even as strong as coffee when it comes to constriction of my blood vessels.

My doctor knows I vape and he supports it. My dentist does not know that I vape, but he was noticeably surprised at how good my gums looked from previous. And, I vaped in the car just before going in to the dentist's office.

They may be similar, but in my experience, nicotine is not nearly as strong as caffeine. The damage done is from the 3999 other chemicals. Oh, and maybe drinking caffeine in the evening. That damages my sleep.

Relax and have a vape. It is better than smoking and even better than having coffee, tea or soda.
