My first purchases from WL have been to get a bottle of each -> 4.8% nic in PG and also 4.8% nic in VG and then dilute down to 1.2% - 50/50 by also purchasing a bottle each of plain pg and plain vg.

I cannot find it now, but one of the learned ones here spoke of getting the nic in only one of these (the pg or the vg) - and diluting down from there.

I typically buy 500 mL of each...

I'm looking at the economics as well as ease in later DIY juice mixing.

Your advice is appreciated...as always!

There's a few ways to look at it. Your buying 48mg/ml Nic and want to dilute it to 12mg/ml Nic. There is no break in price buying one of each, at least at WL where I buy mine.

PG is easier to work with because of it's thinner viscosity. I buy mine in VG because I figure my flavors are in PG so if I get the Nic in VG it gives me the greatest flexibility in PG/VG ratios. I mix for more than just me.

In the end it's whatever your most comfortable with. In PG, VG, or one of each. Any of the three ways will allow you to get your 50/50 mix. :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

Welcome to the wonderful world of DIY. I just broke down and got a gallon of pg and a gallon of vg. It is more economical. About $30 more than buying 500 ml but a lot more for the money IMO. I got it as here if you want to check it out. You may decide to use it in the future. http://www.essentialdepot.com/servlet/the-218/1-Gallon-Veg-Glycerin/Detail I figure if I stop DIY'ing I can still make soap or something. heehee But I did buy the 500ml when I started.

Good luck to you on your new hobby. And it really is a hobby. Hope to read future posts from you and your creations. :)
