So, I must be going brain-dead or something..maybe I just never thought about it. So, you can choose your nicotine levels..but when you get your bottle of juice and it says 12mg for example, is that how much is in the bottle? So, if you get a bigger bottle, would it be more diluted? Or does it go by how much you take in with each puff? Does this make sense?
I mean, I get a great buzz from low nicotine intake..then again I'm pretty damn tiny so it just affects me more so than the average person. Just something I am curious about. An explanation would be super haha.
I'm sure I sound dumb, but this is seventy six hours without sleep talking.

There's not real way to determine how much you take in per puff. Studies vary widely. Some say 30%, other much more. Less with people that first start vaping. There's no real correlation found between what you smoked and how much you vape.

Just listen to your body. As with cigarettes you pretty much know when you smoked too much. Same with vaping. Although it takes longer to feel the effects vaping. Smoking is a much more efficient way to get nicotine.

Oh man, I feel like the smartest person on this earth. Thank you!
Funny how something so obvious can clear up a lot of confusion..that was there for no reason.

Confusion is good. It encourages thought, which in turn encourages questions which, when answered correctly, result in knowledge. :)

30% intake would probably be above the norm. You might absorb/metabolize somewhere around 1/5 - 1/6 the nominal eliquid nic, based on Etter's writeup in Nov 2011.

Experienced vapers using 18 mg/ml eliquid, 5 "refills" per day (I'm interpreting it as 5 ml/day, though could be wrong), showed cotinine (what nic metabolizes into) levels comparable to smokers. A typical full strength cig has 1 mg nicotine, so a PAD smoker is metabolizing about 18 - 20 mg of nicotine/day. For the vapers consuming about 5x the starting nicotine, but showing equivalent values, that would mean they metabolized about 1/5 of the nicotine in the eliquid.

I call it 1/5 - 1/6 because the 1/5 was for nominally experienced vapers, and newer people often take a little time to get the hang of vaping.

(I'd enjoy seeing more, newer, writeups, but I haven't seen any new quantitative data reported.)
