I've been vaping 18 mg juice since I started a few months ago. Really like Space Jam Omega, but its kinda pricey. Just got an RDA and was told I should get lower strength stuff, so I got some 6 mg from a different company, "High Caliber". Anyways, the 6 mg really isn't doing it for me and I like vaping the 18 mg Omega a lot better than the 6 mg new stuff. The TH is weak (as expected--less nicotine), but more importantly, the flavor and vapor just don't seem to be there. The High Caliber is quite a bit cheaper though and I'm planning on picking up some 18 mg tomorrow to see if that helps.
My question is: does the lower nicotine content reduce flavor and vapor or could it be poor juice quality?
Did you try the Space Jam in your RDA, or just your new e-liquid?
I am one of the few that gets less flavor from an RDA (I'm running a dual coil nano-chimney/dragon @ .5 ohms in a Quasar RDA) I get a ton of vapor but the flavor is just lacking. If I vape the same juice in a KayFun or even an EVOD tank I get much more flavor. I think it has something to do with the amount of airflow and the fact the the vapor is being condensed somewhat in Evod/KayFun type tanks.
So it could just be juice quality, or simply the way your flavor palate reacts to an RDA. The resistance of your coil, and they type of coil / wick setup will also factor in. Lower ohm coils may give you the extra flavor / vapor that you are looking for, or possibly just the opposite. You may do better with a higher res coil with more restricted airflow to help condense the vapor/flavor.
Either way, with a lower resistance coil you should get much more vapor as well as a stronger throat hit w/o affecting flavor too much. I was at 24mg when I first tried an RDA; immediate nic buzz and headache. So I went down to app 12mg and still got solid hits w/o immediately being nic'd out.
