Using a 401 and refilled a cartridge today with 24mg liquid. 1st time refilling though seemed easy enough. Problem is after the refill I started getting a terrible headache and just felt different, tough to explain. Can nicotine do this? Seems like alot of nicotine at 24mg , because when I researched a regular light analog and they average only 0.8mg of nicotine in each one. Only my third day vaping so I'm new. Thanks for any help.

I use both 18 and 24mg. If I chain vape on 24mg I can feel it so I usually use 18mg when I'm vaping a lot. Everyone is different with this. You might try 18mg and see if that works. If not you could possibly be having an allergic reation to PG. If so you might try using VG. There are some companies that sell only VG liquid.

hi
yes sounds like the nicotine to me i dont get headaches if i overdo it but i know some people do i feel really queasy if i overdo the vaping and have to put it down for an hour or so.
the prefilled carts all seem different to topping off with bottled juice.
i felt a little off and different for about a week when i started vaping but it seemed to pass after a few days it sounds like dropping the nicotine levels will help you.

as for cigs containing 0.8mg they do but every bit of that is burnt and absorbed by your lungs whereas with vaping most of the nicotine is exhaled as vapour a much smaller amount is absorbed.

so my tip (and im no veteran) would be to see how you feel after a few days if you are getting headaches try dropping to a lower mg juice.

let us know how you get on plus im sure there will be a veteran vaper along to offer more advice.

welcome to the forum.

Could be a number of things, some of which are mentioned above.

People react differently, absorb differently and I believe you are using a different juice from the original carts. Some PVs get through more liquid than others too.

How much nic you are getting also depends on how much you are vaping, how deeply inhale and hold the vapor.

If you think it might be too much nicotine, try cutting (diluting) some of the juice with some VG.

I agree completely.

My advice: Visit the DIY e-liquid forum and take a look at some of the cool recipes for flavored liquids.
Then: Get yourself a bottle of food grade glycerin ("VG"), some distilled water, and some Lorann flavoring.
Mix up some of that and then make various strengths of nicotine-containing liquid using your 24 mg stuff. The flavoring will help you forget that you're vaping weaker e-liquid, and if the nicotine is what's causing you to have a headache you'll be able to lower the content but raise the enjoyment.
I love either 0 mg homemade e-liquid (just glycerin/water/flavor) or low-nicotine VG-based liquid, cut with VG/distilled water (about 80:20 ratio glycerin to water).

As an aside: If your nic-liquid isn't coming from the UK it's probably coming from China. I'd take the nicotine mg rating with a grain of salt. My hunch is that it's nowhere near what they say it is in many cases. Just a hunch.
