Hi my friend. If you get the taste, if you are convinced that this will work, if you found the perfect liquid for you dont worry.
In beginning to vaping you dont count how many you smoked. It is important to know how many you didnt. Just dont fight with cigarettes, let it be. Eventually the day will come you will not be able to smoke because of the stinking smell and taste
By the way, dont forget to keep spares of everything you got including liquid.

Try some 18 mg nicotine and see if that helps quench the cravings a little bit better than the 12. You can always cut down more once you have the cigarette cravings under control.

My daughter is still more comfortable vaping at 18 mg nicotine after around 3 years of vaping. I am currently at 12 mg nicotine. We had quit smoking "cold turkey" around 9 years ago, because we simply could not afford for both of us to smoke. We started vaping around 3 years ago, when stress and cravings were starting to get the better of us. We have not thought about smoking since we started vaping.

It all comes down to what you are comfortable with, and what helps you to avoid lighting up, using the equipment you have. Don't be too concerned about cutting your nicotine level down until you are comfortable and confident with the level you feel that you need with the equipment you currently have. There is plenty of time, and plenty of options, once you have the cigarette cravings tamed to your satisfaction.
