It's Schroedinger's Nic juice up here.

Law has no problem with it but "ma HC" does, so it's legal but not deemed safe enough for johnny.

So it gets plunged in to this curious paradoxical state of legal/not ad infinitum.

In other words order 3 times cheaply from different places, law of averages says 2 should get through for sure.

I have done a spreadsheet of nic juice, and once you factor in shipping from USA ..there are a couple of Canadian suppliers that are really close in price that have 60mg
I just not sure I would trust the stuff you get from China, although I sure others will say it's ok

The problem is we don't know where anyone sources their juice or the quality of the juice supplied. However, I don't lose sleep over it.

ok pardon the ignorance, I'm moving back to Canada soon after spending 20 years in the US. is DIY nic juice not legal up there? why is customs giving you guys a hard time? I see i have much reading to do in the next few weeks. to become re Canadianized ha ha

...welcome back to Canada!

Some DIY concentrates are not legal for general sale, use or import in Canada (and many other places besides).

The law allows for nic - "when used in an inhalation device - up to 4mg per dosage unit". Computations are still underway for eliquid - but it basically narrows to "40mg/ml" as being legal for general sale.

Above 40mg/ml - nic is a schedule F drug. It can't legally be sold or traded without the necessary documents, licenses and production facilities. (ECTA's legal researchers are still compiling the relevant statutes for this - so more information will become available over time).

The issue here though - there is an arm of the government determined to ignore the law and stop the use of nicotine in electronic cigarettes - and, apparently, the use of electronic cigarettes themselves. It's the same problem as the US faced awhile ago.

So there is an alarming trend of officials skirting the law to simply do whatever they want - so even if it's legal - they don't want you to do it.

What's with the fear of Chinese nic juice where do you think the nicotine comes from ????

China does have a history of adding bad chemicals to the food they provide for their population, as well as what they export. Remember the baby milk poisonings? Or the poisonous pet food exported to North America? What they did in those cases was add melamine to the food to try and fool the tests that would determine the protein content of the food into showing that there was a greater amount of protein than there really was. So I can sort of understand why people would be a little uncomfortable with ordering consumables from China.

Thing is, eJuice is unregulated. What this means is the stuff you order from North America might very well have been mixed in a bath tub once used for cooking up .... or something. It's a matter of who you trust most I guess. Until the industry is regulated we can't really have any confidence about what we're getting or how it was made. There's inherent risk.
