I started vaping (stupidly) at 36 mgs because I was a chain smoker and I have never had any problems. Now mind you I have decreased my nic over time (I'm now at about 13mg give or take) and when I lower it down a healthy step I get some withdraw. Hell, I drip and often get a mouthfull of juice and never had a problem. I can't imagine what unholy amount of vaping you would need to do to really dangerously OD on this stuff. If the story is true that lady must have opted to DRINK the e-liquid as opposed to vaping it.

I had been using 24mg/ml juice a while back, thought I'd give some of TW's 36mg a try, see if that would satisfy better? Ha! After one cartful I had to practically crawl to the couch, my stomach so cranked I knew if I moved too fast I'd lose it! (breakfast!)
There's no doubt if you OD, you better just STOP. (Well, honestly, you really just don't want any more!) Hospital? Forget it, I was too sick to even think about getting in the car. My ears were ringing so loud I couldn't have heard if it even started!
Thing is, I knew exactly what I'd done wrong. You would have to be a real Doofus not to know you've had too much. I'll leave my story about Tequilla for another day!!
After an hour, I got on ECF and sold that juice! Didn't even want it in the house.
People forget, the effect doesn't hit you for a little while, not like a cigarette's instant hit! By the time you realize it's happened, it's already happened. Knowledge is Power!

I started with 36 mg and as long as I vape this I am fine.(I vape constantly) I have tried 48 and got the usual symptoms (headache, nausea and stomach cramps) Some people would go to the ER if they experienced these symptoms. But knowing what has caused this I knew I would be fine in a little while. Some people can even get heart palpitations and this would definitely scare some people. I have never heard of anybody having to go to the ER. Most just wait and the symptoms subside.

This person probably had some of these symptoms and ran to the doctor. I quess she could have been admitted. Unless you understand what happened it would deter me from starting to vape.

To the OP:

Lynda there are many dangers to e-juice.
Nicotine is a poison and constricts blood vessels and can raise blood pressure.
Smoking as well as vaping can be dangerous if you do too much to fast or do it improperly. Pure nicotine, 1000mg/ml, can easily kill.
If you smoke 2 cigarettes too fast you will get sick. The same goes for vaping. If you vape a high level you can feel sick. If you eat a cigarette you will throw up. If you drink e-juice you could throw up or if it is a dangerous level you could perhaps even die. Many people are alergic to pg, some are alergic to vg, and most diabetics cannot smoke or vape without having some sort of trouble.
If you get a hold of nicotine juice that is too high of a level it can potentially be very dangerous. Expired juice can also make you sick. PG and VG both have a shelf life. Even stored in the fridge and out of light they still go bad. Expired juice can make you EXTREMELY ILL. Many people are allergic to pg, so they switch to vg, not realizing that many flavors already contain pg to begin with. Some people with hypersensitivity can have trouble vaping vg.
If you drink too much water or eat too much sugar you can die as well. Like drinking bleach will kill you. Just don't be a yahoo and you will be fine.
It is important that you do research before you get yourself in over your head. Many suppliers and long term users with a billion posts do not even know all the dangers of e-liquid and it's ingredients or refuse to believe them or just refuse to reveal all of the dangers. Most suppliers know the basics enough not to sell dangerous doses and some will only buy a certain strength themselves so there is no hazard of accidentally sending a customer a much higher dose than ordered.
All that being said, If used properly and responsibly then there is no immediate hazard in vaping. Long term use is still unknown. It is very possible some yahoo was rushed to the hospital because they may have been wigging out on pg, or the nicotine they ordered was too high of a strength and they did not know any better. Or it could simply have been a diabetic with high blood pressure. Most people vape 0-36mg and are fine. Some places will let you order 100mg of nicotine and if somebody not knowing any better vaped it, they could very well end up in the hospital from a nicotine overdose.

To some one else with more than twice as many posts as me on this particular forum:

Not revealing important information can be just as dangerous as misinformation or remaining silent. It is easy to be biased towards something you believe in and not even know it.
