[h=2]ARTICLE IN BRIEF[/h] A new randomized, placebo-controlled study found “significant nicotine-associated improvements in attention, memory, and psychomotor speed,” with excellent safety and tolerability in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment. The story looks at this and other recent data suggesting that transdermal nicotine could be neuroprotective for neurological disorders.

Good news in one way, bad in another. Now they can claim nicotine is a medication, i.e. it cures or prevents something and if it's a medicine then it must be regulated as such. On the other hand they can't very well keep telling the lie that it causes diseases and their arsenal of anti ecig half-truths is one missile less.
Real life is a bit.. that way, always 'on one hand.....but on the other'.
