Hey!

So my recently ordered Boge 510 carto kit has arrived today, along with 10ml of USA mix 24mg and 50ml of Flue-Cured 24mg, both are 'China e-liquid' from Madvapes. 4 cartos got the Flue-Cured, one got the USA mix. Once the cartomizers were filled, I attached one to the battery...and wow. THe throat hit and vapor production were both vastly stronger than I had assumed they would be. In fact, too much TH for my liking.

My only other experience with PVs has been a disposable njoy at unknown strength, A disposable 510 kit with USA 18mg, and an Envy kit that showed up at the same time that has 18mg carts. All of these had a mellower TH and a little less vapor production. My question is, as well as PG vs VG, does nicotine strength affect TH? If so I'll go back to 18mg, as well as get a sampler pack from one of the higher quality e-liquid shops.

Thanks!

Yeah you could mix in 0 mg to cut your 24mg juice. I think 3 parts of 24mg and 1 part 0mg will give you 18mg? And if you use 12mg to cut with instead then 1 part 12mg and 1 part 24mg will give you 18mg?

Also - the common Chinese liquids are PG. PG has more TH than VG (VG has more vapor). A lot of people use juice that are a mix like PG vs VG 50/50, 60pg/40vg, 70pg/30vg etc.

And the flavor can affect TH - even within the same vendor and same PG/VG mix, some flavors may have low TH and some have high. For an extreme example, I think flavors like tobacco, cinnamon, mint are likely to have more TH than many creamy dessert and fruit flavors. But there are always exceptions so it's good to read the juice reviews section on this forum as well as any reviews on the juice-selling sites.

Thanks for the responses!

Quick update. I've found that the initial 10-20 drags of each carto produce a stronger TH and vapor. After that, it's like I've found a sweet spot, flavor and TH work out great. Being new to all this I guess there is some experimentation to be done as well as researching here. Have yet to finish off a carto completely, but maybe some of this can be attributed to a break in period for both cartomizer and battery(?)

@zexnu....I have looked into RY4 and it seems to be a vaping favorite, unfortunately madvapes has 0 in stock at the moment. I will try to find a 0mg version to cut this stuff with, as well as order some at around 18mg on it's own to try out. Thanks all for your helpfulness!

Are you buying blank cartos? I think new empty cartos and atomizers can have some primer fluid in them that is really harsh. I know how to blow it out, burn it off and/or wash it out with an atty but I don't know how you do it with cartos. So if you are using blanks try to find some info on getting the primer out of cartos, especially what ever kind of carto you have. Even the new CE2 r4's which supposedly have no primer - some seemed to have primer.

Even after the primer is out, I think there is sort of a breaking in/mellowing going on when you use a new atty and maybe cartos too?

(I am a noob)

Is there a way to break in cartos? Somehow I thought that was an atty specific thing...did some primer removal techniques with the Envy, which is a 3 piece model as well as bumming me out by tasting like burnt paper even after applying some break in tips.

The 510 cartos are all new, blank ones that came with my 510 kit. Will look into new carto priming, or rather anti-priming ;)
