Hey all, this is my first ECF post. I started with those cheap but overpriced store brands. I was fearful getting another product I didn't like I went ahead and ordered a Saber Touch VariVolt. Can't wait to really get things going! Now I'm concerned that I should have started with something better for on the go (smaller), ahhh!! Anyways I guess I know that if I don't like it with this mod, I probably shouldn't pursue it anymore.

Anyways I ordered (maybe not so wisely) primarily 36 mg flavored eliquid. I guess I got the wrong impression from one of the beginner guides and thought I should get the strongest possible. Now I see that it's recommended to cut it down.

Anyone have any recommendations on what to do if it is too strong? I'm wondering if it usually ruins a good flavor to add say 1/3 of the original volume of the eliquid with VG. I got some 50/50 blends from freedomsmokeusa RY4, 7 Leaves, Watermelon, Cappuchino, Kiwi, I think that's it. They offer sample sizes, which doesn't suck!

It's only really recommend that you cut it down if you find it too strong for you. I wouldn't do it for any other reason than that. There's a lot of fear mongering that goes on regarding nicotine levels. Some people need higher nicotine to get off cigs.

But if you find it too harsh or too strong, I'd order more juice and mix them togeter. To dilute it down you are going to have to do a 50/50 with either PG, VG, vodka, distilled water. Any of them will dilute the flavor a great deal. A couple drops, might be OK.

The very best thing to do would be to order the same juice in zero nicotine or the lowest they have and mix them together. Then you'd have 18 mg which might be good for you.

You could add PG or VG but it will dilute the flavor.

Yep mix 50/50 with 0nic for 18mg best way to keep flavour. If you use non flavoured mixers and dilute 50/50 it will be very weak afterwards.

Can you buy 0nic version of the 36mg juice? That will let you cut it without losing flavor.

You could cut it with plain VG but you will lose flavor and you have to make sure it's 100% vegetable VG, not random Glycerin. The Humco brand at Walmart near the rubbing alcohol - Humco said it's all vegetable. Or the pricier Wilton brand at Michel's Crafts w/ the cake decorating stuff is all vegetable. Or order some online (see OneStopDIYSHop or elsewhere).

BTW - 50/50 is a fine thickness for atomizer, not so great for most cartomizers. Simple stuffing cartomizers seem to like 20% or less VG best though 30% works (just may shorten carto life and slow the drag a bit). Tanks and reservoir devices usually like 20-30% VG, less works but may be more prone to leaking, some thinner 50/50's may work. Some say they can use 100% VG in some kind of dual coil cartos though it will likely shorten the carto's life. Atomizer - 50/50 is very nice.

I agree with this. That vendor does offer their juices in O mg nic.

I personally vape 36mg, and don't find that too strong. I guess it all depends on your personal preference. Try the 36mg, if it's too harsh for you, cut with the 0 nic that others have suggested.

For me, anything less than 24-36mg just doesn't cut it or satisfy my need.

Welcome to ECF btw!

I completely agree with you. Any lower than that is just pointless for me. But its really just a matter of personal preference. To each their own.

When I went jumping at Skydive Arizona in Eloy, I met the manager. He was telling me the drop zone rules and as he walked away he said "...and don't land on the cactus". I didn't but as I was coming in to land on one jump, I saw a dust devil about 80 feet tall spitting out tumbleweeds. Y'all got some strange stuff there in Arizona.:D

Got my juices last night and you know what, I'm glad I got primarily 36 mg mixes for my transition from analogs. In fact I think I will recommend to my friends who want to make the switch to get at least 26 I think it is to switch! Also, I personally don't notice it being too harsh with the higher nic content. I have been vaping 50/50 and one 30/70. Both are very nice!:vapor:

Good choice. I also started with 36 mg and figured it would be easy to cut it down lower if needed. Now on 30 mg and DIY'ing my own from strong Nic Juice. Ends up being very cheap.
Good Luck and Happy Vaping, Vapoor.

Where is a good place to get cheap PG? On FSUSA it is a bit cheaper when you get a lot of mils but I'm thinking there has to be a cheaper option out there.
