Then why for the first 3-4 days of my switch did vaping satisfy my urges?
Because vaping felt and looked like you were smoking. So that part was taken care of. And nicotine comes into your body and says here I am old friend. And your brain believes everything is just fine.

Yes I remember that article when it came out in 2014. I still have a copy of it back then. One of the best articles on nicotine.

I have a new insurance company this year, and they charge smoking rates for vapers, unless it's temporary, and done for the purpose of smoking cessation. I'm paying the higher rates, and not happy about it, since it's based on evil lies about vaping.
Yup, that's why I went to zero nicotine.

If I retire soon I'll go back to nicotine.
If I lose my job before I retire I'm not sure what I'll do.

But if I keep my job but still can't retire yet, then I'll go back to nicotine.
And I'll start paying the $50 per month for the privilege of protecting my brain.

My company is going through a huge shakeup right now.
Not sure where things will stand in a few months.

That was the short version of what is a long story.

Wishing you good luck with your company, and with your maneuvering through the maze of your right to vape without punishments.

I find it evil that insurance companies have a control over what we do in our own personal space........that is surely more evil than gov't getting into our personal space..........at least the govt is accountable to voters........insurance companies are not. I wonder who is going to sue these insurance companies in the future when Nicotine has been proved to have been effective at protecting against diseases of aging such as Alzheimer's etc...........just wondering.

Wouldn't tout nicotine as a wonder drug...

It's that Pavlovian reflex : nicotine - tobacco - smoking - baaaad.

Gonna be a long uphill fight to get that association chain broken,
as public at large has been hearing that for decades.

Nicotine does occur naturally in highest concentrations in tobacco plants alright, but eventually folks will realize that nicotine can be had ( and researched ) without the burning plant matter around it. We're having it already. 's called vaping :)

But let's be on guard here: Demonizing nic pretty much backfired. Canonizing it ...oh, dem's lotsa medicinal properties, we can't let you have that without a prescription....

I learned a thing or two about vaping and while doing so I also learned a LOT about the deviousness of SIGs...
